It's funny Barb that you are complaining about your thread subject only now.

Why weren't you complaining about the terrorist Raymond before he killed himself when he was cheating his way to the top?

Barb, why aren't you admitting to using tools to help advice your own score and ranking on the leaderboard? You've rocketed to the top of rankings and the only way possible to do that is using auto-clickers.

Barb, why are you only worried about rank #6 when you should be sour grapes over rank #1, #2 and #4?

Barb, you've bounced around all the BW2 platforms and have been in many private chat groups and discord servers. This is NOT the first time you've become aware of tools and enhancements for climbing the leaderboards. Infact, I've seen your chat messages stating that it was unfair that Brick and Marci have had their scores capped and wanted Nick to change the code.

Can't have your cake and eat it too... oh ya, something about stones and glass houses.

Going to copy and paste your message as well because you've been known to stir the pot and delete your posts afterwards.

Also, poor form for throwing shade at the Devs.... tsk tsk.

You can't really think because you spend a little money on buying energy that you in any right can make demands to the game developers.

Instead of complaining, why don't you just play better... learn how to tweak your profile, trinkets, runes, mounts and pets etc better.... oh that's right... because you can't. Everything you know is because someone nice in the game has taught you how to do it. Funny how that works because you like to brag about how good you are and the little secrets you've found but not once I have I ever seen you share your secrets.

Nick has made it clear and you need to get on board with it or move away from the game. This is if you can't beat 'em join 'em.... Maybe you need to beg Brick and Marci on how they score millions of points each day 24/7 non-stop.... or did you piss them off too?

I have only played on FB BW2 game for manyyy yrs and now CNE platform.I don't know discord..??? or what it even is.
I migrated to CNE in July..where I met many other CNE players.
I have a RealLife , SO on that note,,

The easiest way to contain autoclickers is quite simple: curb/limit the number of allowed clicks per second (a technique I've seen in many games). Whereas youngsters can manually click up to 20+ times a second - rare exceptional youngsters can even hit up to 30! - most adults will manually average 15 autoclicks/second after a few minutes.

Imposing a limit of maximally allowed clicks/second eliminates the need for different leader boards as well.

Also Barb rank 6 Maga2020 was number 1 and 2 before you came to cne and rank no:7 jpl77 was in the top ten when they came to cne so no "cheating there" bit unfair to say that about them as no:7 actually has a video out of how they play !!

I personally don't have an issue with auto clickers as much as I do with cheat programs, or so called "Game Enhancer" programs.

My feelings are that auto clickers can only click as fast as the game is set up to allow, and probably not a lot faster than one could click their mouse if they put in a lot of time and effort, and have great finger dexterity. In other words, you can click to your hearts content, but your bushwhacker is only going to raise and lower his sword at a preset speed or interval that is programmed by the game developers.

If someone is ranking up 40-70 million a day, then I suspect it is a "Game Enhancer" program, rather than an auto clicker, or maybe a combination of both.

I would not mind seeing caps on rankings, rather than giving auto-clicker players their own rankings or leader boards, which I don't see as a benefit. When you think about it, there are caps on many other things in the game ie. Runes, max game levels, energy packs ... So just a thought.

jpl77, hang in there, I have been the target of harrassment myself, and it can be upsetting,demoralizing and amusing all at once. As many know, I have spent months at times analyzing data and creating stategy to increase my efficiency in ranking up. Statistical analysis is very exciting for me. I am working on some exciting combinations now, and have tested a couple of very different scenarios. I still have notes on five more sets of pet/mount/trinkets/runes to play with. As always, once I reach conclusions, I will publicly post my findings, even for players who are too lazy to do the work for themselves, and prefer to point accusatory fingers. That's just what I do, it's my jam. Russ, Raymond was named a domestic terrorist in the United states. I am thankful nobody else was killed with his pressure cooker ieds.
Incidentally, I used to turn in game vulnerabilities to Justin when I found them, in exchange for BBs. I haven't done so lately for several reasons.
1. There is still another platform to migrate - best to wait until then
2. Many have been historically considered irrelevant by the developers
3. They used to give a decent reward - say 50 bush bucks. Last time, I got 10. It was a bit disappointing. But do keep in mind, if you recommend a strategy that could equalize the ability of all players, I am sure this is something the devs would welcome, and might reward handsomely for.
4. Keep whacking your own game. Complaining about someone who is likely employing far better strategies than others is short sighted. This is a fascinating, and complex game with many tweaks and turns that bump your score. Go look for them.

I was number 1 for quite awhile. Remnants of my former glory can still be seen in the VIP leader boards. (I have dropped to number 4 in VIP.) Before I dialed back my play I averaged 10 mil points a day. I hit a point where I guess I burned out. I made myself nutty trying to keep my number 1 spot. Playing had stopped being fun for me and had become a chore. (I was also being harassed by a player so that added to losing my drive to play) I was worrying way too much about what another players were doing instead of just enjoying myself.

Since then I have stopped looking at rankings and have being playing about 4 hours a day (split between 2 game profiles). I'm now ranked 19 and am content doing my own thing. I hadn't looked at rankings until seeing this post.

I am happy to do my own thing these days. I know if I decided to crank up my grind I would never catch up with those at the top. My glory days are passed but at least I had them. :0)

PS Bota I was BFG and we did have rankings in BW2 but not in BFG. Is that what you meant? I miss BFG as it used to be. When they shut their forums down it lost it's sense of community. I hope that doesn't happen with CNE.

Aqua, I know full well your struggles over the years of being bullied in this game because you've figured out how to maximize game play.

Sad that people are still more concerned about attacking other players versus trying to learn. I think that is jealousy over anything else. Or maybe it's pure stupidity, I don't know.

These comments still show that poor behaviour though, calling people snakes etc....

Back to Aqua's comment about discovering vulnerabilities. I can attest to that as I know first hand many of the items she's found over the years. I've found many holes in the game as well, and reported them.... sadly I never got BB for them.

It's funny that someone such as myself and Aqua have been labelled cheats, hacks, snakes etc... when for the most part the 2 of us have discovered exploits within the game, tested them for repeatability, reported them to the devs for patching, and haven't exploited them since reported.

Examples:

1) As Bota has mentioned here, players could open up multiple instances of the game and play in as many windows as they had opened. This was patched years ago after Aqua and I reported it, but since the death of Flash and migration to CNE, the devs made a mistake, and playing multiple instances is in fact possible once again.

2) Auto-clickers and pop-ups: Ever noticed the annoying pops up for runes, quest items etc when you are whacking? Yup, you can thank us for that.... Aqua and I watched a few players get 'impossible' scores from natural game play. We had to dig around, find out and learn about 'auto clickers', we tested them, and then tried to see how a player could play for 24/7. After we contacted the devs, they coded in the pop ups to prevent a player from running software and walking away from the game. Did that stop the 'auto clicker' problem years ago? No, but what it did do was force those who did try to use them to have to manually check the game and manually click pop ups. That band aid fix worked for quite awhile until players figured out how to make scripts and use programmable autoclickers.

3) Power whacking known bush results. (This one is huge). When I was big into editing the wiki, the devs game me the server info url, which lists all the ingame images. I was able to see what files were on the bw2 server, and then pull files to create images out of them. If a person knew this URL (I published it in the wiki btw), they were able to see 'unreleased' content before being made active in game. This is basically how the wiki was built accurately, by copying the server content. So.... in my quest to get the best wiki info, I eventually learned to see how internet browsers send and receive information to servers. Anyone can do this with most basic browser (inspect), or you can get highly detailed info from programs like WireShark. Anyways... to the point, I noticed that if a BW2 player watched the network activity, the game server already "prewhacked" your bushes for you.

Meaning: The results and rewards of all 6 bushes were known in advance and the rewards were sent to the player. All I had to do was mana whack the bushes, read the results of what order to power whack a bush to maximize the rewards I wanted. I could powerwhack any gem, mana, gold, fruit bush I wanted when I wanted because I could see the future of the bushes by 6 bushes at a time. Needless to say, this was a major realization but a huge exploit in the game. This was reported to the devs for patching and eventually fixed.

So... that's 3 examples of areas that could have been exploited and heavily cheated, but instead of destroying the fun of the game, they were patched. How does that do for the haters talking about morals? Funny thing about morals, because I remember the time when having multiple accounts was a bannable offence not only on Facebook, but by djarts/CNE. Now, people openly brag that they play with 10's of accounts, all of which to only assist their own account and not to help other players or the new juniors.

If you've read this far, congratulations. My point... there is a lot of things in this game that a player can adjust, tweak and maximize. There are also vulnerabilities because humans make errors in coding. So before going out and calling people cheaters and snakes, stop and think for a moment just what you are really saying about other people. 90% of an iceberg is underwater.... just because you think someone is a cheater or a snake, you better have it on good authority that they are... but ask yourself, is it even worth it?

I like to pride myself, and I hold Aqua in high regards, because of the efforts done to improve BW2.

If the devs know about loopholes, exploits, hackers and cheaters yet do nothing about it.... take your issues up with them and stop complaining about individuals in game and in the forum. Your only real silver bullet in this game is to voice your opinions with your playing and with your wallet. If you stop playing and if you stop paying, then maybe the devs will take concerns seriously.


As for me, I'm tuning out the folks who complain and don't contribute positively to the game and the community. I'm going to keep playing my game my way. If there is ever genuine interest to learn, I'm here to share with people who aren't jerks.

I'm going to keep trying to figure out how to play better, and one of my next tasks is to get top trophies and to figure out how to fish efficiently. Fishing has been a bug in bonnet for a long time and for the life of me I haven't figured out how people can get so much fishing completed......

Oh, and I'm going to keep gaining ranks on the leaderboard... someone needs to try and take down the top spots :D
