I am still back in Corrupted cavern! I am on the Power bush level and had long ago gotten the 60 bushes, but am only have 20/50 Spikes whacked and 13/25 geysers. The same thing happened in the other two areas. FRUSTRATING!! I am wondering if part of the problem is that there was a daily quest of whacking spikes and that took away from the quantities of the other spikes. I have already whacked about 200 of the darn bushes! Did you all go through this??

Yes, I remember going through the same thing. It seemed almost impossible, until I noticed that there is a pattern to it. If memory serves me well, I think I whacked a Spike every 8 whacks (twice), then after 8 more whacks, a geyser popped up. Then the pattern repeats (every 24 whacks).

So to break it down:
8 whacks= 1 spike
8 whacks= 1 spike
8 whacks= 1 geyser
Repeat

You should finish them both at about the same time, because you need twice as many Spikes as Geysers.

Keep in mind that the pattern can fluctuate and you may get stuck on the same thing popping up over and over. If this happens, you may be able to reset the pattern by leaving the area and returning.

So true as you stated..I found it was very tedious. Moreover,,,I had to reload game a couple to times to rid of ''excess spikes'' to get last geyser done. I sent a ticket to Nick and he said he planned it like that for excess spikes etc ???.BUT I figured it out myself by reloading game, wheww..

Has anyone noticed that there is a really bad glitch with the Potent Pomes quest in the Caustic Crag since the "FIX" that was mentioned in the Blog?

The quest amounts start out in the Negative --- (-20 Energy, -20 Power, -20 Mana). So I whacked up 24 Power Pomes and it shows I have only 4/20 Pomes Collected. So now I have to whack up a total of 40 Pomes of each kind. Not only is this a problem, but the drop rate is terrible.

I guess I'll wait until Nick reads my ticket to continue on with this quest.

Is there a need to do the puzzle in the Cenote site? (the one with the super energy/mana/power bushes)apart from getting the chest with the vilu tender. Does completing it so many times give an achievement or open up any quests? I have done it many times now, but was just wondering...is there a point?

Elsastar96 - I believe that the puzzle in the Cenote site is merely a side quest to earn a few extra vilu tender (and satchels if you have already collected your x1 daily tender). There is no achievement for it that I'm aware of.

Thanks! It is sure an energy sucker! And what about digging in the site to the East? Is there any benefit to keep on there?

Horsedancer1 .... you should absolutely continue digging in the Salty Quarry. Not only will you receive 2 achievements, but an awesome reward as well.

Flybaby, I already got the sword from the Salty Quarry. I meant is there any other reason to keep on whacking there? It takes 3 trinkets and I don't like to keep searching for the ones I usually use. Thanks!

Horsedancer..

I have to keep changing my trinkets But I am used to it with no probs..It gets easier I find. I use 2 trinkets for getting giggergy and for digging..

Nick..

Suggestion : UM would you think highly of changing the vilu tender too 2 for each quest in Site..for items in Supply and Cache..I think the cost for some items are just wayyy too high..(IE 80 Vilu tender for camel/mounts etc.)since we are only getting 11 vilu tender a day..??Plzz make it 22 vilu a day...It sure would balance out the game some.
Thanks..

Horsedancer1 ... Besides the achievement, you will get something very special after digging 400 items. I think that you'll find it's worth it.

As for the trinkets you're using, perhaps you could save them as favorites to make them easier to find.

The amount of gems you get from digging in the quarry is nice as well. I usually keep going even after I have gotten the items needed for the quest(s).

Hello Bush Whackers!

Just popped in a fix. You will no longer get negative amounts for the Palming Potent Pomes quest, and the odds to find Pomes have been increased (somewhat), after you've gotten your Chonchon.

Also, reshaped pets will now count towards your Unique Pet's Collected number at PAGAS.

Very sorry for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,
Nick
