okay. Maybe I'm a stupid ... after finishing the barn, I was given the snowman, reindeer and turkey. Now I have to complete the mission of the research abandoned egg. This is the problem: there are four days that I rummage through the bushes to look for it but other than raise the level of 2 of the 3 animals, nothing happens. What's wrong?

My second egg was also a kitty so I rejected it. Hope I find something different...:)

What exactly is the point of the Circus? Seems useless to me.

Paola, you have to find a rare abandoned egg. My first one came right away the first day of the event. After hatching and raising that first found Pet in something like 5 days (not talking about my existing Event pets) I started the quest again to find an egg, took more than a day, about 3 full bars of energy to get my second one.
You have started a quest for finding an egg, right?

It sounds like the pets are not logically defined. Jeans second egg was for a pet she already has. As one knows about random choices from a fixed field, one will get more and more duplicates and one might not ever get all the different kinds of pets. that really sucks.

I wonder if a duplicate pet would have the same odds modification effect. And I wonder if one does not 'reject' that duplicate egg but instead raise that duplicate pet, if one could 'convert' it to another kind of pet. Eggs should be from a reducing field of choices instead of from the full field of choices. This might just make me want to quit playing this game.

Welp...I got the elephant now. Can't you see that - an elephant & a kitty...lol

@Raymond, I think you may be right about the pets.

The eggs are undoubtedly on a random find basis. As for the skills, Hank the stablehand says the skills are random (whether they are set when the egg is found or when the Companion is fully grown is unknown) so you could have the same pet with different skills.

I personally plan on having each companion, regardless of skill (though I may skip the buy-only ones... 150 BB is a bit steep)

I just wrote a short program to check my suspicions.
With 10 winable eggs, it will take on average 30 tries at finding a random egg to get all 10. In one case it took 72 tries.
It was bad enough with the daily quests of which there were 6 to choose from, but these 10 are just going to be impossible.

yes, with 6 random choices it takes on average 15 tries and I've seen it take 25.

You're correct in your assumptions that eggs are given out randomly. We don't want to limit the field of this random choice after you find an egg, though, because for every player who wants one of every pet, there will be some players who want a flock of parrots or pack of dogs each with their own abilities. So for now, if you want one of everything, you'll either have to count on your luck and patience or dole out some Bush Bucks!

Please explain 'rejecting' an egg. I know that its taken me 3 full energy bars to get my second one, if I get a duplicate I'm NOT going to want to spend 5 days hatching it, and I'm not going to want to have to find another egg with perhaps up to 3 more full bars of energy.
Please give us the option of converting a duplicate pet/egg, or have rejecting a duplicate egg make it turn into another random one instantly (but perhaps only if you already have that pet/egg).

I'm pretty happy with the system. I'm personally going to go for "one of each" for now; going to try with finding eggs until the odds are against me, and then bush bucks I suppose.
That means I still have quite some time to build up free bush bucks for my next egg. *shrugs* I can take my sweet time doing this. It's great to be occupied for the next months; I have spent SO much time in The Flux this time around with no purpose other than building up money and gems for later.

This is great, and I don't mind that it'll take a long time to "complete".

I haven't found an egg yet and I play several thousand points daily. Does having a seasonal pet equipped affect my chances?

I doubt that it affects your chances. I found an egg yesterday with a puppy equipped. I found it after using about half my daily energy, maybe I was lucky.

Both my Eggs came while equipped with a Pet. The first one came right away. The second one came after a days play of something like 3 full bars of Energy. It is random.
But make sure that you are actually running the Quest to search for an Egg. There should be an Egg icon in the top right area showing all your current Quests. You can't find an Egg if you are not looking for an Egg.

Thanks, Raymond and Marleen. Yes, the quest has been running the whole time. Just not good luck yet. The turkey is fun...

It's been several days for me, as well, and I play full energy every day, plus all energy packs I receive, plus bought energy as well. A bit frustrating. I understand they don't want it to be too easy, but considering finding the egg is just step one...

I've got the turkey equipped, and I'm hunting in the Secret Areas I haven't finished yet, so I'm not in the Flux. I can't imagine that these zones would be excluded from the "you can find eggs anywhere" statement.

Someone in a BW group said she got her egg in the Flux. I got one in the secret zone for the Terrifying Traverse and I got my second in the Nate quest area of the Ice Caves.
There are no 'excluded' zones as far as I know.

Thanks, Raymond. I was wondering if I should try moving to the Flux, but I'll stay put in whichever Secret Areas I haven't completed and try to be patient =)

I have not been able to find an egg yet. I've been looking since I finished the stable and got the quest to find an egg (not sure how many days, but my reindeer is level 7 and I've finished 5 puzzles). How difficult is this supposed to be???

Not sure how difficult it's _supposed_ to be, but after about 5 days of trying, I got a kitty egg this morning, so in another 6 days or so, I should be done with all the quests I need to have it follow me around.
