Rebecca MilesOkay people, scaring the kids is NOT random! So, if he/she doesn't scare it's because your house is not scary enough. Sending them in multiple times will NOT work.
Also, the decorations you buy with PUMPKINS are for the haunted house. You can get as many of everything as you have pumpkins for, it's up to you. As said earlier, each pumpkin is about 3 scary, so it doesn't matter what you buy. The decorations you buy with CANDY are for your ranch. Once bought, then gone. |

Jennifer ChangCan someone confirm that the Spooky Home Decorator task (to buy all house items from the event) means buying items with candy from the knight? Or perhaps one of every item available with pumpkins? Thanks.

Jean DavisPlaced the witch, but the kids had reset & the halo girl still isn't scared. So I guess I wait another 2 days for the new item & when the kids reset again...:(

Claudia KingAh, thanks for that. So it doesn't matter what I buy with the pumpkins? That's good to know.

Veda Funkif you put your hover your mouse over the items for the house; it will tell you what each item's scare factor is. The scarier the better for the kids. I am stuck on once of the kids and just keep adding stuff hoping that I will scare that kid and can move to the next kid.

RaymondBe sure to not buy the items using the store inside the haunted house itself. For one thing every item has a duplicate that costs BB's. Secondly you can't place any of them anywhere in the haunted house and they do not end up in your inventory but they did cost you BB's or pumpkins. Plus you don't have to refresh when you can't place something, you can buy something else.
Only buy items using that character below the clown. DO NOT GIVE DJARTS ANY BB'S OR REAL MONEY. |

CherkLast Edited October 20th 2012 at 8:05 PM Raymond - why say "DO NOT GIVE DJARTS ANY BB'S OR REAL MONEY." ? Isn't it up to individuals to make up their mind on this themselves? :/

CherkAs for scaring the kids - my son had an absolutely empty house and hadn't started the event and took all the kids through the house - ALL of them were scared and he got the award and large energy pack immediately. I'm up to 2451 in scariness and I still can't scare the halo chick so its all individual......

Jen LyonsI can't scare that last little brat, too, but all the rest eventually got scared the more stuff I put in there. I haven't been able to determine whether the black cats/witches had any impact, though.

Shane JohnsCheryl,
If your son sent the kids very at the start of the event then he most likely gained from the bug that was there at the start of the event. I did the same thing. Sent all my kids through before I'd even whacked up a single pumpkin. Each kid seems to require a higher value. That value seems to be similar for each child for most players. There might be something level related in there though. It also doesn't really matter what you have in your mansion. So long as you have bought an item, it adds to your mansion scariness even if it is still in your inventory. I put all my items back into inventory and my scariness remained. Not sure if you have to place them to get the 50 item award though. |

Veda FunkI to sent all the kids through before I had gotten anything from the store. But as Justin stated that was a bug; and it has since been fixed. For once I actually got to take advantage of a bug before it got fixed. Now I am trying to get the kids through the haunted house and am stuck on one kid; but it is a game; so no biggie I still have lots of time to get everyone through and get candy to buy the items for the ranch and my little person.

Claudia KingI stuffed my requests up, forgot I haven't requested any scary witches. When does the next one come out? Do I get a chance tomorrow after reset for them or did I miss out?

RaymondI am completely disappointed in this event.
1. I can't get help with the coffin or table. It seems that once someone helps you out with one thing then they are forever barred from farther help. Possibly an effect of the help fix/change of last week. 2. About a million people here complain about not being able to place things in the haunted house and not a single thing has been done to fix that. 3. I have no idea how many of this thing or that thing or even if I have a single one of something, so there is no way I'm going to get those achievements. I for one do not need more than one single spider web of form 1 or whatever... 4. If you can have hundreds of blood spurts and there are dozens or more of things to buy theen you need a TARDIS like haunted house or there is no way to even put 3 days worth of purchases into it, let alone that there are 13 more days left to this event. I'm done. I truly dislike this game now. I dislike that flash on my netbook takes 2 minutes, fully 120 seconds to let go of computer resources whenever I leave this game. and no browser will let me open a new window or tab until that is done. bye. |

Joe Gosselin-If you asked for a item from the police officer, you can't ask for help for decoration upgrade or help for a blockroad... until 20 hours have passed and vice-versa.
-Some decorations can only be placed on the wall while the others on the ground. -You can always cancel a decoration placement by clicking on the big red CANCEL button in the lower right corner while in 'placement mode'. -So far i have 1830 scare points, and can scare the first five kids Finally the Halloween Event castle is back on BW1 |

Amy SoloI'm not sure having stuff out of the house and in inventory maintains the scare factor. I was at 1213 and the nurse wasn't getting scared till I added everything I had. :C
If people can think of it, please post where your scare factor was when you scared each kid, would be nice to know how much more stuff ya need. C: |
