7 Posts	Link to post - Posted June 18th 2020 at 11:43 AM AmazonAnnie I have been enjoying the desktop game. I got a new laptop and installed Adobe Air plus BW2 but I'm having trouble with the game. I log in and it gets to "Loading Character" and just before the bar is full it disappears. I did the following: - reinstalled the game & confirmed it is the latest version. - rebooted - uninstalled McAffee - rebooted - checked Air is installed I don't know what else to do. I'm on a Dell G7 with windows 10 Pro, 64-bit. Thanks, Annie

16 Posts	Link to post - Posted June 18th 2020 at 3:32 PM SIMMOJU Annie, I have the same problem, my security( Bitdefender) needs to have Bushwhacker as an exception in the ransomware section to get it to load, try making an exception in your security settings .I don't like circumventing the security ,I shouldn't have to but after I have played a session I remove the exception and from then it loads ok ,for a while, there is something that is a bit suss according to the security.

It loads like normal but just when it is supposed to start the whole screen disappears. Poof! Simmoju - I thought it might be the security so that is why I uninstalled McAffee entirely (it came with the machine and I don't like McAffee anyway). I currently don't have any security but will probably go with something like Avast because I can temporarily suspend it for 10 mins to install trusted apps. I added it to the Windows Security list as well. I tried running it as Administrator ... still no luck. I am using my old machine to play the CNE version until I can get this one working. ~Annie

I can put away my old laptop and stick to this one. Thanks all for your suggestions and support. I guess the new computer just needed to reboot another 4 times before it worked. Off to kill some more bushes.... Annie

My BushWhacker wouldn't move anywhere if I clicked, and it wouldn't let me pick a bait. I exited the program and restarted it and it put me back on Amicus. This time when I tried to go fishing, it let me pick a bait and when the line started bobbing and I clicked it, the fishing hole went away but I didn't catch anything. I ported to the Commons, and fishing wasn't working for me there either.

I ONLY play the Facebook version and I don't mess whit this kid-of thing AND it seems to have "bugs"!

We have been planning to leave it on Facebook, since Gameroom would still run Flash games, as phagras has said. However we're renegotiating this as we've found out Facebook plans to remove all Flash Games at the end of the year. We're looking into giving Facebook players the option to migrate to Codename Games so they can play on the Desktop Launcher. We'll keep everyone informed as we move forward on this.
