Could the gem trader be included under store button rather than have to go all way back to him to trade gems?

I agree with Heather. The gem Guy needs to be somehow added to the store button below. I also miss the red potion bottle that filled friends' energy packs. Now I have to beg my friends for energy.

On the one hand I understand needing friends to open up new areas as a way of encouraging more people to play Bush Whacker 2, and hopefully spend real money on it.

However, needing 3 different people after one area where we can whack bushes doesn't encourage me to find people who will help me get to more areas. It's why I stopped playing Mystic Guardians as well.

Bush Whacker 1 rewards you for having lots of friends, but doesn't punish you if you don't. If Bush Whacker 2 had that then it would get popular on its own. As for me, I'm just going to remove it.

@Gareth

We have been recommending people try playing the game in Google Chrome if the invite dialoges are not coming up. There is a bug in other browsers at the moment.

Cheers,
Peter

I don't like having to ask people to open gates to play. I have *one* friend that joined and I know no one else I'm friends with on face book want to play this sort of game so now I'm stuck. I like the original BW better.

i dislike adding friends to help with playing these games, so the fact that i have to add multiple ppl to continue playing this game is sad, it might just turn me away, i used the few bush bucks i got in the start to pass thru the need for friends but i don't have any more now and i need like 6 friends to get to the field 5 in the first world.....its time for me to decide whether to continue on or not with BW2. I like BW1 however.

I like the game a lot but it's not gonna last too long if I have to use bush bucks or friends just to get to every other new area.
Most of my friends just don't like Facebook games at all so they won't join no matter how many times I ask. I can only get like 2 people to join me on any game I play. And I'm not going to add random people to my Facebook just to play a game, that's just creepy and weird.
And I don't have the money to spend on bush bucks, who the hell would during a recession??
I really like playing this game a lot, it's one of my favorites. But basically I won't be playing anymore if I can't even continue to the next area on my own.
I love BW1, I'm still playing it a couple times every day. The fact that you weren't forced to get help from friends or use bush bucks to play is what makes it my absolute favorite game on Facebook. Every other game on Facebook does that crap, we don't need another one. That's the reason people stop playing these games. Just sayin.
And it really sucks that the developers don't even acknowledge these complaints even though pretty much EVERYONE obviously hates the needing friends thing. Figure your stuff out guys or you won't have ANYONE playing your game!!

[cut and pasted from another thread]

I would just like to point out that you do not speak for everyone and there will be players because the vocal minority [but game majority] are liking this game/having no problems, and therefore see no reason to use the forums.

Also - the dev's HAVE responded, in other threads. :)

I would think it was my job to tell my friends, "Hey, there's this new game that's cool." and then the games job to convince them to stay and like it not mine. By making the game impossible to progress without "friends", real or not or money they are limiting their player base. You need a solid base of people who are willing to put in the time mixed with willing to put in money to keep a game running.

OK, read below. I received my answer. They want $100 to about $150 a year from each game player that can't come up with 7 to 10 friends who play and won't stop playing. That seems a bit excessive but I appreciate a real answer and I understand people can't work for free.

Hi Bernie,

As I posted in the other thread:

The bottom line is we are small team that works exceptionally hard to make the best games we can. In the past we have given away that work in a more "free" fashion. That has not worked out in our favor. The majority of Facebook games require the invite of friends on a much greater level than we do.

It is our position that having a handful of friends playing (7 to 10), or paying a few real dollars ($2 or $3) for around a weeks worth of game content (or a combination of the two) is both generous (compared to a lot of other games) and fair.

Hi Lisa,

You may not have played for a consecutive week yet but the reward for doing so is 4 Bush Bucks. If you are very consistent about playing the game that will net you $20 worth of in game currency a year.

Also your numbers would be more accurate if you said they were for someone who couldn't scrounge together one friend. Each friend you do manage to get interested in the game (or who doesn't mind the occasional game request) will net you an additional 15 dollars off your per year figures.

Also making numbers extended over a year inflates their perceived value. If you get a coffee at a fast food chain every work day for a year that is at least $260. But only a dollar a day.

Cheers,
Peter

Dear D'JArts. I really meant it when I said I appreciated the honest answer. It makes my decision about putting time or money into a game much easier if based on facts unlike many other games out there. You also are offering options to cut the money potion down considerably as long as I willingly put in the time to find friends who will play. It's not your fault that many loner's have flocked to your first game just because we didn't have to have friends who played. I paid $15 a month or $180 a year to play WOW, alone as much as was possible. Now you are not in the level of WOW but you have a much smaller fan base to work with so the option to basically play for almost free if we are willing to find others who will play as well seems amazingly fair. I think the real problem here is the place we have to find those friends is facebook.

Ok. I don't mind having to have friends who play, that is how a game grows surely, and no one expects a free ride. You need friends on the original format too, to give you energy and help you with the ogre and the treasure chest so I see no difference there. And games have to make MONEY, that is the whole point. However, to make money should not be the main aim of a game (and IMHO this is where ALL game developers are going wrong) The main aim of a game should be enjoyment, not a cash input from the word go. Slowly slowly catchee monkey! You have to entice and enthral people with a game long before you start the financial thumb screws.

All that aside. The game itself. I HATE not being able to see a proper map. My memory is not the best so I find it highly frustrating trying to remember which way I have to go all the time. I don't like the format, its slow, the graphics are lazy and more than anything, its actually incredibly BORING. I know games take a while to get into themselves but I am bored rigid already. Its taken me two days to get 23/30 flowers! There is very slow progression. I never get anything using the orange power up and the mana is set at 4 no matter where I am. The call friends is only really any good if you have lots of friends who play.

A lesson to be learned here is that I played Eggbreaker for something insane like 700 days in a row, never missing a day from start to finish. I played Eggbreaker2 for 3 days and stopped because it was crap. I have played Bushwhacker since day 1 and was hooked, and spent real money and still look forward to playing (especially as there is a new quest this week for me to get my teeth into!) I will continue to play it for as long as there are special events and updates, and I will continue to buy bushbucks to help me get there faster. If you want to develop a new game DEVELOP A NEW GAME. Don't just revamp something that wasn't broken in the blind hope that idiots will just start playing that without even questioning its validity in the overcrowded gamers market. You could have launched something completely new (like you did with bushwhacker) and people would have been far more willing to play it because it was new. If you are out of ideas, employ people who are not out of ideas, but don't pin a very successful games name to something and expect comparisons not to be made.

I am unlikely to keep playing BW2 because it lacks any charm or longevity. Stick to BW1, use that platform to make more money instead of diluting it in the hope of a quick buck.

Even worse. 24 hours in and no one replies to my post. Consider BW2 deleted, you just lost me.

Hi Jo Anna,

You are going to have to be more specific. The easiest way to get help is to open a ticket on the "Help Me" page. That being said what didn't work for you?

Cheers,
Peter

remove the add a friend to pass obstacles. We know your greedy but your going to lose players to the first one. the 2nd is supposed to be better not worse.
