Only just discovered the whole secret bonus area thing and wanted to know if it's possible to go back and do the ones from previous areas or if, once I've gone on to a new level if the bonus areas are locked out. For example, I finished the Mystery of the Massive Mammoth a while back but only just found out about the bonus area there. I've gone back to the Fisherman's Ice Lake and went through the purple flags but cannot access the hidden switch in the largest snow pile that is supposed to bring up the slider puzzle. Having just found out about the bonus areas I was eager to give them a try, but if I can't get to the ones from previous levels I'd like to know instead of having to expend the extra time trying to access them all one-by-one...thanks to any who can offer insight...

yes you can go back and get all the previous secret bonus area's, I would go to the wiki to find them quicker and the 4 non main play area's --> http://bushwhacker2.wikia.com/wiki/Secret_Bonus_Areas

all are reachable at any time whether you did them before or just found out about them now. The wiki is a little lacking in descriptions of early ones for example, who in the world remembers what field 3 of any square was? just open the area progress map and look to see just 'where' an sba could exist there, and coupled with the images/descriptions from the wiki seek out just 'where' access to that could possibly be from.

Thanks Leona and Raymond - had only tried the Ice Lake one and Lower Evergreen, and tho I couldn't get the lever at the Ice Lake I was able to gain access to the other area. Maybe the SBAs associated with special tasks (Ice Lake was part of an Inspector Kaine case) have to be accessed when doing those assignments? (Or maybe I just was doing something wrong at the access point to the lake...certainly not beyond the realm of possibility...)

Thanks again for the pointers!
