For those who have tried and given up solving the extracurricular 5x5 slide puzzle at the end of The Creepy Tower, there is hope!

When I first encountered this one I got the first three rows but got stumped from there (have never been too good with slide puzzles to begin with), but since it was kinda a "bonus points" puzzle I quit, deciding to come back to it another time. (At that time I was still kinda new to the game; wasn't visiting the forum and didn't even know about BW2 WIki.) After a few visits that ended without success - and having discovered the forum and the wiki in the meantime, and being greedy enough to REALLY want that treasure chest - I just gave it another go. Still no dice even with pointers from the extra BW2 sources. Many times I find it more helpful to *see* something done rather than just reading how to do it, so when I couldn't get it this time I started searching for 'how do I solve a 5x5 slide puzzle' on ask-dot-com, then checked the videos that came up. There's a vid posted by 'quakelord1991' that I found *extremely* helpful - just emptied the chest!! Reading the pointers helped a little but seeing it done was the extra little boost I needed to get those last few tiles in place....thought maybe there would be others that would find it helpful, too.

not to be out of line here, but there is a great thing, has been around for decades, called google (or even other search sites too).
with choosing a few good words one can find many many solvers for 15 square puzzles.
one in particular http://www.jaapsch.net/puzzles/fifteen.htm can do 2 by 2 up to 10 by 10 square, and rectangular, puzzles with exactly whatever random initial starting position one wants.
it also, like all the other sites, teaches you how to make the 2 or 3 simple moves, and possibly teaches you the 2 other not so basic moves that I never knew in my 45+ years of doing these puzzles.
If it doesn't then just watching a 10x10 or a 10x2 or a 2x10 puzzle in action you will see some simple things. I suppose that would be like watching someone elses video but without instructions.

Ther only thing this solver doesn't do is to have a slowdown mode if you click the button that makes all moves, it's pretty fast but still can notice strange moves. But clicking the one move at a time is the way to go if you want exact solutions for a particular puzzle.

Sometimes I prefer other search sites (like ask.com) over Google because I can phrase the query in a way that gets me more accurate results. Many times my Google searches give so many results (and many that aren't what I'm looking for) that it gets frustrating. My online time is usually limited so I try (and sometimes even succeed) to stick to the priorities until I have extra time online to do extra poking around for the more frivilous stuff. The vid I found was helpful mostly because he lined up the top 3 rows (which I'd already done) and then showed a valid solution for the last 2.

I'm not a big fan of slide puzzles but can usually fumble my way through the smaller ones - it was encouraging to read the posts of others who'd had problems with the bigger one. Will have to check out the site you mentioned sometime and see how they do the puzzles...every little bit helps...
