Raymondcould be that it's in the first square, not the first field, of the zone you have been doing. i.e. when one finished the Mines one has to return all the way to the first mines square. not sure about which zone you are in. But kind of sounds like the Haunted Forest, and that also have a square with no whacking so try that too if necessary.
