Marci WilsonI noticed that the past few times that I had been fishing on Amicus Island, and so far it has only happened while fishing there, that when I catch a fish for energy, the amount of energy that fish would give is subtract from my total energy, and then slowly returned. I never actually gain that energy AND sometimes I end up at a deficit. This does not only happen when I have full energy-it happens EVERY time I catch a fish there. Is this some kind of glitch?

Raymondwell,
1. fishing never ever gave you any energy when you were at max. 2. so if you were at max and got fish you get nothing, not even an increment in the achievement for energy gained by fishing. 3. someone must have mentioned that around a mont or two ago that it was just wrong to cheat out people going for that achievement just because that were at max when they happen to fish. 4. so they changed it to subtract the exact value of your fish from your energy, then to add exactly that amount back. they did this at least a month ago, that's when I noticed it. 5. these is no potential for a deficit, you should be exactly at max again after catching a fish. 6. looking for my post where I mentioned it, thought it was the housekeeping update, but not finding it. not that it matters. 7. this is a good thing. now people won't complain about getting fish but not having number of fish energy gotten increment in their achievements. 8. sorry for these bullets being all over the place, tring to do 3 things at once. |

Raymondwill have to check that it also happens when not at full, but I think I have not experienced that, and that's something I would have noticed.

Marci WilsonIt happens even when energy bar is empty.. that was the entire point of my post. I remember the thread where they did the housecleaning update, and remember that it was posted that the energy increment would subtract itself from total energy when energy bar was full... however, it is not supposed to do that when energy is NOT full.

Raymondok, I checked using my game both on my netbook that always is maxed out in memory used by flash and crashes all the time and two other computers.
A fish, when you are not max, adds directly to energy by +x where the fish is worth x, it does not subtract first here unless you are already at max already. I suggest you do a flash cache clear, perhaps you have something corrupt. Have you tried in other browsers on your computer, or on a different computer? |

Marci WilsonI take it back!!! I am 30 energy away from having a full energy bar, so I have been fishing to try and get it filled up so that I can FINALLY get whacking today. Every fish that I catch, no matter WHERE I catch it, causes the amount of energy it is worth to subtract from my energy bar before finally adding to my energy bar.... LEAVING ME WITH THE SAME AMOUNT THAT I HAD BEFORE. I am REALLY tired of wasting coins and bait on fishing. Please fix this!!

Raymonddidn't happen to me. I just checked. I have 10 energy, fished a 2 and it went to 12, didn't go to 8 then back to 10...
I think you have a flash corruption of some kind. |

Raymondif your quest is for tough tuna, even though those look like fish they are nothing, no added energy, just the quest item of the tuna itself

Marci WilsonRay, this happens when I catch normal fish.. not tough tuna. I'm well aware that they do not reward energy. It seems to go through phases.. One day everything is fine and the energy rewards actually register correctly, other days, it will subtract the energy from my total energy, reward it, only to end up with the same amount of energy and 1 spent bait.
