Carlene PaquetteIs anyone else having issues with the Lobster Trap quest on Amicus Isle? First off, there aren't very many traps. Today I walked multiple times from the dock, along the northwest beach all the way to the spit before encountering a single trap. That is wrong. Then when I do see traps, I can select them (get the blue glow) but they don't always collect. Occasionally another player will come along and steal the trap I have been trying to select. And when that happens, it is like the other player is in superfast mode and I'm in slow mode. It is pretty frustrating as the Lobster trap quest takes me twice as long to complete since the traps just aren't collecting.

Marci WilsonI have been having some of the same problems with the traps, but usually only after it respawns in the same place as I have already collected one.
To prevent other players from swiping any of the quest items that you need to collect, try to do those quests on one of the islands that are unoccupied. To do this, click on the little yellow square on your chat bar. That will give you a list of all the available Amicus Island rooms and will show you how many people are currently in each. The only time I ever select a populated room is if I have the Lei quest. |

RaymondSome traps seem to not be collectable even though they glow, that is if you are connected to chat of course.
If you are not connected to chat then there are no traps at all anywhere. What I do sometimes is just change amicus rooms and never even move, new lobster traps appear right next to me. This works for coconuts, trash, bottles, seashells, sometimes pigs and missing villagers. p.s. its good to be on an empty amicus room anywat to prevent people from stealing anything from you. they did mention somewhere in an update notice something about fixing things like this on amicus, I think it was pigs in particular. |
