The Wooden Shelf is an item I get pretty consistently even 2 weeks or so with the 2 week bonus email thing.

In the past, I had always sold any extras because, honestly, they were a nice source of extra gold coins (and I don't need more than one or two of them to display with, maybe I'll need as many as six in the distant future, but that's a very unlikely ballpark estimate).

It's been a while though, so I figured I'd start selling off the 'new' extras I have, but was given the message "You cannot sell that item."

Why not? I always could in the past and, if I hadn't been able to back then, I'd be sitting on more than 10 of them now with no real use for them.

I have 11 of the things. I've crammed them all in the upstairs of my house because I'm sick of seeing them in my inventory. As far as I can recall, the devs are aware of this issue, but it isn't too high on their priority list. On the plus side, they aren't a complete waste of space - small items will sit on top of them.
