Inventory overload.

However, I have to say it drives me a bit crazy when I have all this junk in my inventory from events that happened in the past. Is there anyway that we can sell some inventory and clean it out? Perhaps we get paid in gems or energy or something like that?

I have the same issue - I have to buy them to complete the event achievements, but I don't want to use them. So they sit, gathering dust in my inventory, making me scroll through them every time there's an update and I want to use or sell the new items.

I think I have room for at least 20 more ribbons still. I only put the unselllable weekly bonus item, bookshelf, in the house and the fishing items too just to keep track, and possibly have room for hundreds more there. One side of my yard has all other unsellable things and I have room for thousands more. My inventory is completely empty except for all my extra Pets. but it would be nice to have inventory 'tabs' for different things, and perhaps 'some' more space inside the house.
