Nate DauerWhen you use 8 power on a bush, you get x8 whatever comes out, Bush Whacking 101. But if that item that comes out is a single power vial, you just use 8 power to get 8 power. Your whack was "wasted", so to speak.
This was never an issue in BW1 (once you got out of the first forest anyways), but it's pretty common in BW2. I'd like to see this changed so that when you use a power multiplier, rather than getting 8 x 1 or 2 or 3 or however much power the vial is worth, you instead get a combination of randomly assorted vials of different values. In other words, since it would be random which values your assorted vials are worth each, you could get four 1 power vials, three 2 power vials and one 3 power vial, resulting in your going from 8 power to 13 power. That, or just make it so that multipliers can't get anything lower than a 2 value vial of power. Wouldn't hurt to do this with Mana either, in my opinion. :P |

Nate DauerLast Edited November 27th 2013 at 6:11 PM Alternatively, just take 1 power vials out of the game entirely. -shrug-
EDIT: Actually, I really like this idea a lot more. I remember when the multipliers were nerfed in BW1 and a lot of people were upset about the "broken vials" that were introduced, but I actually supported that decision because I thought it made sense. Well, now I argue that we're seeing the problem that exists on the opposite end of the spectrum, and I believe it requires fixing. |

RaymondI completely don't understand.
"you just use 8 power to get 8 power" if you didn't use power you would have gotten 1 power, but you used 8 power and you got 8 times that, you get exactly what you should get. Sure its strange to use 8 to get 8, but that's how math works. If I go to a store and buy 8 quarters, it costs me 8 quarters, i.e. 2 dollars. |

Judy ThompsonIsn't it the 8 energy used to whack a bush then you like only get 1 vial of random power if anything at all? Or are you saying when we use a power (blue) hit it costs us 8 power so we should get that much back from the power whack? I hate when you use your saved up mana and get "nothing" same generally with the blue power up. they just want people to buy their energy with real money so they feel their free games are worth keeping bugs fixed. Its high level typical gaming techniques to keep you hooked on game and spending your money so they have a fat bank roll. its nothing to write a point of sale program link only need to do it one time. you and say 100,000 player put $5 towards and energy purchase that costs them literally nothing to drop on you player. WOW, They just made 4500,000 off the 100,000 players. Its all about money in their pocket. Imagine the people who buy the $50 best deal bush bucks pack, that would be $5,000,000 off 100,000 innocent players. Quite a racket they have going. ALL the free games do it. they really arent free games at all

Nate DauerAnd that is exactly the problem. It defeats the purpose of the multiplier to begin with because, had it not been active, the player would've simply gotten +1 power. In other words, using the power multiplier was actually counter-productive.
I suspect the whole thing is a mathematical over-sight in the game's creation. I'm disappointed that they either never got around to it or are actually OK with it the way it is. If they're gonna deal out nerfs to imbalances that overly-favorable to the players they should also apply buffs to situations that are overly-unfavorable to the players as well. |

Kate (aquafishy)What if you multiply 8 nothings? :o)
It's part of the game, it's called chance. |

Ben StrijkerSo instead of a "try again" option you prefer to get "nothing"?

Judy Thompsonnothing is going to be done either way now anyway. Word is they are closing down the game. so all your time and money is down the drain. at least on Xbox or PS3 the only cost you have is a onetime charge for the gaming console and once for the game. I'm ashamed to say I've easily stuck $1,000 into FB games in the last six months. I could be sitting with a new gaming console w/a new 50" tv to play on & have several games I could replay at challenging levels and not be wasting my money on a game they can just close up whenever the developer feels like. Personally I like to play my games thru and follow a storyline. They just ruined all my fun. now I'm just pissed cuz I'll never know how it ends. Same thing happened on the SIMS FB game. rip off foriegn couhtry developers. I'm changing to meditation to forgive these idiots and thank them for helping me waste my time and money and for being left with no sense of accomplishment.

jpl77Judy where did u hear they are shutting down the game? Ken Layden is leaving his position as community manager, but as far as I know BW2 will be around for awhile.

RaymondThere are at least 6 more Kaines adventures and one more Nates adventure, but actually one more of each since there is at least one more main play area going to happen on the third continent. And one of these things might actually even happen today in under 2 hours.
But, Judy, why are you even here, you have to know that all facebook games can and do eventually go away when they stop being profitable for their developers. On the otherhand these developers though have continued to pay for server space for all their games, even those that ended 3 or 4 years ago or stopped being profitable back then. Well Egg Drop for some reason they completely dropped almost right when it started (development wise) but sometime like 4 years after it ended they dropped it from the servers. I would play that for djarts tokens if it existed, and some of their other games that for some reason don't give tokens, but not other games that I never got into or had any interest in. But I also have to say that you don't pay to own the game, you pay to have more then the free enjoyment you could get out of it. There are millions of people who do pay for these facebook games that 'might disappear tomorrow', and just about none of them bitch about it, they actually like the games, and when the games are gone they still had the enjoyment they got out of them. |

Nate DauerBen Strijker... no. I can only think that you're assuming that removing 1 value power vial automatically means that they all get replaced by nothings instead. I didn't think I'd actually have to explain this part, but removing something doesn't automatically mean it becomes nothing instead, the devs are smarter than that. It means adjusting the odds so that when you get power, you get a 2 (or more) value vial.

Joe Gosselin@Raymond : For the Eggdrop game, if you have found the Arcade Machine in one of the field in BushWacker 1, you can play with it in you house.
As for 'word closing down the game' i don't remember seeing that anywhere, DJ Arts is more close to their customers than a Zynga who release too many similar games to close them without or little warning. |

RaymondThanks, I forgot about that, but essentially I forget about bw1 since I'm completely done that and even don't bother with some holiday events like this current one, my calculations show that 200 turkeys would take 12 continuous hours of game play. I stopped at way under 100.
As for the arcade machine's version of egg drop, not sure if it's the same, i.e. I can get anything from any spot with one drop, even those that are completely random. I had been working on the last achievement of something like 2,000,000 gems or egg drops or gold or whatever that one was, had everything else. |

Richs GhostDogI too have noticed that the rewards have gotten slim all of a sudden and not just for the power vials..For example: I have trinkets that reduce my odds of receiving nothing by 22.2% and I get "nothings" 3 or 4 times in a row and if I use "power" I get a "nothing" 7 times out of 10. Those odds seem somewhat skewed and the multipliers don't seem to work correctly either.

RaymondThat's not new and has been in the game from the very beginning but you never notived it. You could have -200,000% nothings if that were possible and get nothings when using power. The odds modification has absolutely no effect on multiplied hits.
http://forum.djartsgames.ca/?thread_id=8030 and even say -100 percent is not -100%, say nothings normally have a base 10% chance, then -100% would bring that down to 5%, but only on unmultiplied hits, it'd still be 10% when using power. |

Nate DauerNowadays, I avoid Power trinkets like the plague because they're simply not as useful as Mana or Energy. All too often I get x1 power vials. I would like it more if getting power on a multiplier doubled my power, not gave me what I started with the vast majority of the time.
Power may have been over-powered in BW1, but it's definitely under-powered in BW2. |

jpl77having power trinkets doesn't change your odds of getting the larger power vials. just like mana trinkets don't improve your odds for the +4 vials..... however, the more power you whack up, it stands to reason you would get more of the larger vials.

Judy Thompson@ jason. I was looking for a forum to subscribe to and it was in several postings. i don't remember the forum. I wish I DID sometimes there are rumors that fly. I joined this forum because you guys are sane and have knowledge of the game. BTW does anyone know if there is a secret place in every wacking area. I've went over them with a fine tooth comb and still cant locate 7,11 or 13. thats as far as I got anyway. im only level 70 :)

Joe Gosselin@Judy, you are at the good place, some user have created a wiki that should cover almost anything in the game. There is secret area in all the major wacking field and some hidden, for the complete list (at this point) you can clic here.
