I am stuck for lack of gold on the section where I have to buy the cross beam in order to continue. How do I get that huge amount of gold that is needed?

There is a spell you can cast that gives extra gold for 2 ginger roots and a purple flower. It does this for 200 hunts. If you save up your power and are lucky enough to get a bush with gold in it, you can make gold quickly that way.

One of the cave rooms has a slider puzzle daily that is called something along lines of extra brain teasers

I just finished the larger slider puzzle and thought it might open up another mountain location, but alas, it did not. I do not have any way of knowing how to get 2 areas unlocked as I have finished all that had challenges with them. I do not know how to get the reconstructed key for the king quest either. Can someone help me? I have a ton of gold, never use it, lol.

2 or more locked areas above the Caves have nothing to do with the caves, they are just adjacent to there. Try turning on the Maps 'show all squares' feature and you will see perhaps other squares too. I think there are 8 in and around Twiggy Lake, 4 that people above something like level 50 can do and 4 that require being almost done with the Kings quest.
As to getting into those squares, try going to the Desert City's The Palace Steps and walking east/right.
The Maps 'show active quests' feature should telly you all about any quests that you have started and where to go for those.

Thanks for your response. I am almost level 120 and wanted to get to the maximum, but think I might just have to hang up this game because of frustration. I always have my maps open to show all available features, but maybe I'll luck up on something else I can do, lol.
