Marleen LarikI have two suggestions in regards of egg drop chances and locations.
______________________________________ 1. I suggest to tie the chances of a certain type of egg dropping to the zone you're adventuring in. This would give players a minimum of control when they are looking for a specific pet - at the expense of whacking in the most current zone, or flux (which would be best for character progression). I think that would be a fair trade-off. For example these increased egg chances: Forest - Kitty, Puppy Mountain - Bear Desert - Elephant Evergreen Forest - Kangaroo Snowy Mountain - Gryphon Haunted Forest - Fairy Tropical Island - Parrot, Monkey The Flux would provide equal chances for any type of egg. ______________________________________ 2. Secondly, area-exclusive pets. We frequently unlock eye-candy animal families (like crabs, warthogs, leopards). After unlocking these through the appropriate puzzle, there could be a chance for an egg to drop exclusively in this area. - Both the animal animations and the bonus mechanics are already in game. :) ______________________________________ Advantage for players: - (1.) a little control (or illusion thereof) over which egg will drop - (2.) larger selection of pets to raise Advantage for DJArts: - players who spend more time than necessary in lower level zones need more total energy to progress (if they also want all the flux items and unlock new areas immediately on release) |
