Too many bookcases.

I have a bookcase in my house, 7 in inventory and today when I collected my bonus, another bookcase. Can we please sell these? I had no intention of making a library, I like my house the way it is. If we can't sell them can we at least dispose of them? I hate seeing them in my inventory and would rather skip inside gifts altogether. I do appreciate all the gifts and bonuses but no more bookcases please. Thanx. EDIT:: After checking I was able to sell today's bookcase, but still have 7 extra.
