I was wondering if it's possible to get new ways to harvest energy... like the drill idea (posted by Ben Strijker here -> http://forum.djartsgames.ca/?thread_id=7094#37379).

What do you say about fruit trees? This is my idea:
- You plant trees in your ranch (their number is limited to 1 for every 2 plots you have);
- The trees sprout and grow to be little trees (like crops) but instead of harvesting them they begin to produce energy;
- They produce energy every hour (energy production depends from the tree species);
- They accumulate energy until they're full (max energy depends from the tree species);
- Friends can help them to grow (increasing the energy production, capacity or both);
- It takes many friend helps to the tree to be fully grown (100 or so);
- You can harvest their energy in any moment they have it;
- They wither if you don't harvest them for too long (at least 3 days, I don't want my trees wither if my connection doesn't work for a day or two);
- You can sell trees if you want to free some room for a better tree.

Here's some tree species datas (when fully grown):
- Apple tree: 5 energy per hour, 360 max energy (requires level 15);
- Orange tree: 6 energy per hour, 450 max energy (requires level 30);
- Pear tree: 7 energy per hour, 510 max energy (requires level 45);
- Lemon tree: 8 energy per hour, 580 max energy (requires level 60);
- Banana tree: 9 energy per hour, 650 max energy (requires level 75);
- Grapefruit tree: 10 energy per hour, 720 max energy (requires level 90);
- Coconut tree: 11 energy per hour, 800 max energy (requires level 105);
- Mango tree: 12 energy per hour, 870 max energy (requires level 120).

Please let me know what you think of it...

Please note that these are just examples, I only made that to pass some time... ;p
Anyway I made their energy storage to support at least 3 days of energy production.
Feel free to reorganize this list as you want. This is only a concept.

I think there's something akin to an energy statue in one of the starter packs no? If it is as I recall, I don't think they'll be making something similar available without bush bucks.

Although I like the drilling thing for gems. The good ones seem pretty hard to come by.

not a bad idea. but i like more if we can plant trees like in other farming games(not in plots) . and not to buy with bush bucks these trees... let's say there will be a numer of trees and we ger a quesst to find random a seed to different trees... like with pets... but not to do other 6 quests to get that tree . just maybe 2: one to water the tree and one to fetrilize the tree :)

Mark, I know there is an energy statue... and maybe you're right about the bush bucks thing, but the values I wrote are very low (under the energy production with trinkets). I'm not asking for the moon.

Iazmin, I like the seed finding quest idea! I was thinking to a high price in gold (not too much high but something like 20 times a crop price), but I like this more... not only because it allows you to save money for land and trinkets but also because it's more like you've earned it, that way is more satisfying!
