I like having those animals in my garden but I hate them ALWAYS being in the way of what I want to do and sticking around there for inordinate amounts of time.
So I made a pen out of mostly violets but dozens of those other similar shaped small flowers. My pen is big enough for 5 squirrels and rabbits, and has room for 5 of the next, and the 'walls' of that pen is 3 flowers thick.
It mostly works, the animals seem to be stuck there, but once in a blue moon one gets out, seems like he might be stepping on one of his mates or just walking through walls.

Do I have to waste the next 4 sets of plantings just to make the walls 1 more flower thicker? And will they still be able to get through that?
