I'm new to bush whacker 2, but have played bush whacker 1. In bush whacker 1 the best use of using your power was to use it on a creature. It seems like on here you get half the amount of power when used on a creature. The bushes still have a high chance of nothing, so what's everyone's strategy here?

Thanks!

http://bushwhacker2.wikia.com/wiki/Mana_and_Power#Power When you whack a critter they will always perform two drops, and if you're lucky might even perform a third! Your multiplier will be divided amongst the items, so each win is diminished, but it does give you more chances of a win instead of one shot at a win or a "nothing"!

Thank you so much for clarifying this for me Jason. I did search the wiki first before coming here, not sure how I missed it. Thank you!

I have to say that unless there is an odds difference between bushes and beasts then it's all relative and in the long run you will get the same regardless.
Sure you have the 'appearance' of less heartbreaks if you do beasts only.

Now something I'd really like to know, does odds on whacking a bush, or a beast, change whether or not you use a multiplier? I'll say YES. I whacked 1200 energy, 100 bushes, without power and got roughly 50 nothings. Oh, I had a pet at level 40 giving 25% less nothings and also 8 trinkets adding up to about 25% more.
And over the course of several days I also whacked 100 bushes with a multiplier and got something like 70 nothings. Statistically well outside a fair coin toss which this is similar to (with those trinkets).

When you powerwhack a creature, since the power bonus is cut in half (or evenly distributed among all drops), you have a better chance of NOT winning "too much" power or mana back (with power or mana bar already full).

So if you're going for general efficiency, yes, it is still marginally better to powerwhack creatures.

If, however, you're going for one of the achievements that you get FOR missing out on power or mana this way ("Excessive Mana", "Excessive Power"), then of course it is better to powerwhack bushes.

That's true. I hadn't considered that since I mostly use power the instant I get it and therefore its small and the results of that is always under the limit whether or not I do a beast vs a bush.

But if you were going to go for the missing power achievement, it's best to not use power on anything at all, that way every win of power is over your limit after a very short time. The same goes for mana, just don't use any mana.
