jpl77Last Edited April 13th 2013 at 6:10 AM Won +15 mana and a Nothing with a power whack of 540 with Sturdy Vials activated yet I only got my max mana bar (550).
So the vials broke :( I should have won 15x270 = 4050 mana! Worst part was that the counter reduced on the Sturdy Vials showing that it did activate. |

RaymondI don't really play this game any more but I know many things, still.
Sturdy Vials = Your next multiplied Mana or Power will not be smashed. OK, Smashed is from 4 to say 8, while unsmashed mana or power can be 18 or 19. No matter what, even mana or power=2 times full power will hit your max mana or power level. Your max mana or power Limit is not raised and is not made ineffectual. If you want more then max power or mana you need the major and/or minor power or mana boost, and even then, the max is 150% of your normal max. Nobody ever got thousands of mana. That would be really unfair. A spell to remove the limit would be great but is never going to happen. |

jpl77Disagree with you Raymond. Even you stated the point of Sturdy vials, which means the vials won't be broken = you won't waste extra mana/power over and above your normal maximum capacity. That is what happens during normal game play, wasted power and mana when you exceed your maximum.
Yes, there are different spells that increase capacity, but that is not related to Sturdy Vials. Don't confuse the two. If I wanted to increase my Power capacity which is ,540, I'd cast Minor (+20%) and stack that with Major Power boost (+30%) which would give me [(540+108)+194.4] = 842.4 power. I could then take that 840 and power whack the crap out of something else, once I saved up all that Power from quick whacking, but who is to say I would win anything when I did a x842 Power whack...... That IS the point of spells, to give you that ability. You have to play smart and strategically. If you know how to combine skills/powers/trinkets etc in certain manner, then obviously you will get benefits. It is not unfair as you call it, that is just how it works out. |

RaymondNope you are still wrong and reading into my reply just what you want to read into it but its wrong.
With that spell the vials themselves are not broken, instead of whacking an 18 bush and getting a smashed vial =4, you get a real one valued =19. If you had used a power of 10 on that you would have 190 mana, not the 40 mana it would have been if it were smashed. The size of the mana vial is smashed (4) or not smashed (19) your power used is whatever it is and if its high then no matter what your mana is, smashed or not, it will not get above the mana max. Smashed has nothing to do with mana limit, nothing at all, smashed is whether the vial is a tiny version of it or a regular sized one. Your problem is thinking that smashed in any way is related to the limit, it is not, smashed is the size of the mana or power bottle, the bottles can normally be 1 to 19 depending on if you whack value 1 to value 18 bushes, smashed is roughly 1/4 to 1/6 of that size are are usually 4-6. When too many people were playing forever by hitting regular fruit with full power the developers invented smashed so one would get less. They also added that to mana and power but that had never been a problem or issue since mana ad power have the limit and has always had the limit. now to semantics: "vials won't be broken" is A and "you won't waste extra mana/power over and above your normal maximum capacity" is B and that's a completely totally unrelated thing from A. do an experiment. have no spells active. whack a bunch of bushes with power. look at the play history or win history. most of the time the mana or power you hit is a smashed mana or power but occasionally it will be a regular sized one. look at the unit value of that, not the multiplied result, smashed is small, regular unsmashed is as large as the bush and can be 1 bigger. big power will get lots of nothings, and lots of gold, and lots of gems, and if you are lucky lots of energy (but fruit also comes in smashed variety) because nothings, gold, gems and energy have no limit. big power will get you to your mana max or power max because there are limits of mana and power. Yes there is a limit on energy, but that only applies to time tick and fishing increases, winning fruit has always allowed very large lucky energy wins. nobody ever has ever had a power or a mana win of over say 900, not ever, even before smashed things (again smashed is a size of an object) things were invented. write a trouble ticket and the devs will say the same thing, smashed is not whether or not a multiplied object will get limited by the max, smashed is the size of the fruit, mana or power that may or may not then be multiplied by power if you used that. In that experiment you will see that almost all fruit, mana and power is smashed and not as big as the bushes in the area you whacked. a lot of info here, but it is you who is misinterpreting what smashed means. I only brought in the 'limit' thing for which there is a spell because you think smashed means something completely differently then what it is. |

RaymondYou yourself proved that your whack was not smashed.
"+15 mana" I'm assuming that you hit a 14 or 15 bush or monster. If it were smashed it would have been 4 or 5 not the 15 that you uncovered. Doesn't matter how much power/multiplier you used, that is a completely different thing altogether. |

regular always happens when not multiplied. the occasional non-smashed regular happens when multiplied randomly. non-smashed is guaranteed when the sturdy vials is active. |
