When you start game, there is a notificatioon about the new stuff and there also says that they made the red flags for completed secret areas among the other stuff

My question is how do you know if an area doesn't have a secret area? Maybe they all do now?

I checked the wiki. There are a couple areas that don't have a secret area.

Every regular area that has a percentage on the big Map has a secret area, except the tutorial area and the 4 Nate quest areas.
One area that has no percentage has a secret area, the Narrow Sea.
I can only attest to 3 of the 4 squares of the latest addition and have not yet reached its Nate quest area.
So for prior existing content there are 3, 3, 4, 2, 4, 4 secret areas in each of the zones in order.

As you've all accurately concluded, those flags indicate completed secret areas. 8)

i have no red flag in the desert temple ruins, dense forest and the witch doctors retreat. I assume there arent any secret areas?

Raymond, your post wasn't clear that the areas in question are Nate's quest areas and not regular areas. While you, no doubt, know this without even having to really think about it, others (like myself) have to puzzle it out. Claudia, you are correct.

as a matter of fact, I did read it but I didn't understand what the heck you were saying. I play this game at leisure and don't live and breath it. I log in once a day, if I get a chance and whack the bushes and then move on with real life. So pardon me for asking a question.

Thanks Denise and Clemens :)
