The wiki is giving out a little bit of false information as far as I can tell. I've gotten the fishing hat from the mysterious forest when it says the windy crest. I was wondering if anyone knows where the scuba hat actually comes from.

I can see that it is annoying to get wrong information, but why create a new topic? There already is a topic for the Bushwacker 2 wiki.

As far as I know they are correct with the information about the fishing spots (unless the dev have changed it).

@Ben - the previous Wiki thread was stale; Justin had to bump it to let people start using it again.

@Ryan - I'm the BW2 Wiki admin. I am not affiliated w/ DJ Arts, so - like all Wikis - the information is only as good as it's sources. I myself find fishing (both in game and IRL) too cumbersome, so I have not been able to verify the catch info. It may be just as Ben suggested - one way initially and changed without any notice to the players.

It's true - we don't look into the source-code of the game - we only post things we find out ourselves ... wiki-founder out ;)

I depend on the wiki.
I expect it to have correct information.
This fiasco reminds me of the hours wasted fishing for the 3 or 4 things I did not have in my inventory a few months ago and that I still don't have.
Now I understand, the info was wrong. The info did not 'become' wrong with some change in BW2, it was wrong from the start. I can't tell you what items I still need, I gave up on fishing after those hours of totally wasted time.

"fiasco"??!! Did we forget that it's just a computer game? Perhaps we need some perspective...

@Ruth, Ray is just a sub-par quality troller; ignore his pointless drivel.

Hey, Ray, guess what! The Wiki is a gift from your well-intended fellow players, not a privilege for ungrateful whiners. You wouldn't have even had the information if we didn't take the time out of our busy schedules to put it up and would have likely been fishing away ANYWAYS.

The information on the Wiki was accurate IN THE CASE OF THE PEOPLE THAT PUT THE INFORMATION UP; sorry that that doesn't meet your standards of accuracy. *Plays world's smallest violin.*

Bill, please keep your posts respectful.

Ray, if there was incorrect information on the wiki it was likely an innocent mistake. It's disappointing but there's no need to get upset about it, particularly considering that you may inadvertantly insult some of those who work hard on the wiki and who weren't at all responsible for the error.

@Noemi, my apologies; I was rather stressed and Ray's comments pushed me a bit more than I had expected them to.

Thanks, Bill. It happens to the best of us, but it's important to keep the discussions on these boards polite so that people feel comfortable contributing.
