you know what they should do with the shovel and golf club.
They should have barried treasures hidden around each map area. and you get/ buy/ find a metal detector to search for the treasure.
treasure can be like a small amount of gold and maybe a chest with some mana, power, and something to give a bit of food or a trinket. that would make more sense.
And they could put a mini putt-putt coarse in the commons where you buy 10 balls for 100 gold and shoot for holes to earn points to spend toward fruit or something.
that would be pretty cool.
