Sarah ByeIs it just me .... or is it nearly impossible to win higher level gems to buy trinkets? I can't seem to win any gems higher than Citrane (and that's only if I'm really lucky) ... and don't seem to win enough lower level gems to trade up for the trinkets and stuff.
I've got the two crystals equipped to increase my gem odds....but it doesn't seem to be helping. Very frustrating. |

Nick DiCeglieI was holding off on posting the same thing. I feel like the gem drop rate ...even with the trinkets is really really small. And I rarely get lucky enough to win gems a multiplier and even if I do its not that much.
I admit I spent too aggressively to open slots and buy trickets early on in that "gotta get it all" way....but earlier in the game it all I felt like I was consistently earning enough to buy new things. |

Dengke ShaHmm well I commonly get the lowest level gem with a multiplier now, so usually I get 20 of them in one hit. I consistently get higher level gems as well, with topaz and sapphire not being very uncommon anymore. I use the massive gem and lots of reduce nothing trinkets. Those help a lot. In addition to this, higher level bushes and monsters increase the chance of getting better gems.

Debbie JohnsonI 'm also using all the gem trinkets even the higher ones from the flux area and I'm getting so frustrated @ still not finding the higher gems! I have only found a few rubies and 1 jade, it's really getting depressing, I do love the game, but I really don't think the trinkets are helping my opinion only,Thanks for letting me vent!! I know they say it goes by the odds , but when you have every trinket possible you'd think you'd have better odds? Better luck to all ! Has any one found any thing higher than a jade? Maybe I shouldn't ask that, cuz if someone has found uddles of jades and moon stones i'll get really Depressed! LOL Happy Whacking !!

Britt-Lynn OxendaleI feel you pain Debbie. I always have the gem trickets on and I'm not sure if it does much good. At level 62 and the highest gem that I have won is a sapphire. I've won 6 of those in total.

Dengke ShaWell I found a moonstone about a week ago, no jade though. It's all just chance, although I feel your pain Britt-Lynn. I don't think there's too much to complain about if you found a Jade though Debbie. The higher level gems *are* meant to be hard to find, and you don't need them to purchase trinkets yet. The only reason why you may be running out is if you're buying lots of fruit baskets, but why not just save them up a little? Also, don't neglect the fact that you may be finding heaps of low level gems, as when you trade them up, they do count as something!

Dengke ShaAlso as a quick note, lots of minus nothing trinkets coupled with one good plus gem trinket may help you find more gems than just having gem trinkets. This is because minus nothing trinkets reduce the nothing pool more so than any other trinket.

Sarah ByeI have the 4 cornucopia (Rich, Overflowing, Extravagent, and Flux), the two knives (Stainless and Flux Silvered), and the two crystals (Flux Glittering and Massive) equipped as my trinkets.
I rarely win multiple gems....and I don't think I won any gem higher than aquamarine today. I'm about 1/2 way though the 2nd world in this update. I still need to buy 4 trinkets, the golden pocket watch, and one trinket combo. Blah. |

Joe Gosselini almost always use the best cornucopia, mana wands and puzzle pieces glass. Never used any Gems trinket but gotten a star shaped emerald at level 25 so it just pure luck (don't have any Jade, Moonstone or Diamond). Hope tomorrow will be better. Don't have spended more than Large Fruit Basket (to save money and better gems) Never gotten a Diamond in BW1 and i'm level 146.

Jean DavisGlad to know I'm not alone in this. I noticed a drastic drop in gems & increase in nothings after I combined all trinkets. I looked and don't have a decent one to reduce nothings without losing my energy or regeneration. The highest I have found was a Ruby and that was in the Mountains. Any higher gems I had are gone since buying trinkets, and I still have one left to purchase. I rarely get a topaz now, and not getting that many lower gems to trade up to a topaz. I quit purchasing fruit baskets with this last update.
I'm on my 3rd puzzle in the Flux and now have 200 agates, 10 aquamarines & 4 topazes. In previous Fluxes I had already hit about 500 agates plus more of the other gems. I need 4 sapphires for my last trinket...hah! |
