Does anyone know if there are going to be any more updates for this game or are they concentrating strictly on BW2 now? I'm getting a little bored doing the daily ones. lol I have completed all the areas and the only thing I need for accomplishments are the diamond (which I can't figure out lol) and a couple fishing ones, so I was just wondering.

Thanks.

To me the recent Crossing Twiggy Lake update seems to be the end of the line for BW1 or at least the Kings Quests. But I could be wrong.
And of course the 2'nd annual back to school event is coming up soon along with the 2 year playing achievement. I have a few other achievements I still need to complete, a few will take a few weeks and I have not yet reached Level 150 but am at 100%, actually 102% like many.

Kimberly, my best suggestion for whacking up that diamond is be half asleep, just trying to finish up your energy, and all of a sudden you'll get that pop-up. It's kind of like a watched pot - the diamond will NOT happen for you if you're looking for it! :)

We have a BW1 update that has been planned for a while that just needs art and implementation - I really wanted to get it done in time for BW1's 2nd birthday, but I'm not sure if I'll have time before then - but there will definitely be at least one more update for Bush Whacker 1.

Hi Justin, will that be the last content update for BW1? (excluding events)

It's tough to say at this point. We'll need to look at our numbers after the update that is planned and see what makes sense. We're a very small company and always need to be focusing our efforts where they make the most sense.

You know, Justin - if there were more updates, some of us would be spending real $$$ on bushbucks more often....

Seriously, even if there aren't regular or future updates, I hope that you will occasionally, along with seasons events, put in level update opportunities. Being frozen at a level with very little movement is very frustrating!

Hi Justin - I understand you are a small company, but how are you expected to grow if you continue to end games that still have a lot of interest? The lack of updates is probably what holds players back from spending $$$

Like Melody has suggested, maybe some small updates along the way would suffice, something similar to the Nate quests you have in BW2 could work here, and hold the interest in many players, till you are ready to release a content update.

but please don't mess it up like the 'crossing twiggy lake' update. I was level q40 prior to that and completed all the areas there, all 5 or 6 and still was level 140. There is/was no incentive for me to even try to reach the new level max of 150. really 10 whole levels where 1 was enough to complete the whole area. something completely wrong there.

Hi Melody/Luna,

I understand where you're coming from and why you might think that, but the numbers started dropping off long, long before we stopped regular content updates. Our numbers peaked right around the Jungle update (when the level cap was 100, requiring 2,784,575 xp) and we have done nearly as many content updates since then as we did before that point - the Caves, Oz, Wonderland, Brain Slug, Center of the Earth, Pirate Isle, New Haven Crypts, King's Quest Finale part 1 and 2, and the level cap is now 150, requiring 9,089,200 xp - not to mention a handful of new and updated holiday events. I wish we could do more with Bush Whacker 1 - it's still one of my favorite games that we've made - and if we get this update out and there's a positive uptick in our numbers, we will.

Thanks for clarifying that Justin, it's good to have your perspective on it; as a player I don't get to see that side of it, if that is the case it will be sad to see the end of BW1.

Will you confirm - if the time comes, that the game has ended?

Justin, just out of curiosity - did the BB amounts start dwindling after the auction house came into play? I love the auction house as a player, but I can see where it gets in the way of income for the game.

...or was it the change in fruit wins?

I often thought that if that was introduced into the story line there would not have been as much drama over it, and you could have monitored and adjusted it to suit players/devs needs as time progressed - but it was to late to suggest anything like that...

Hey Justin, I hope that if you decide not to pursue any further updates to the game (after this next one) that you give us the opportunity to transfer our BB to BW2. Thanks.

I have found a benefit of doing the boring, repetitive daily quests--the DJ Arts points you accrue can be be used for any DJ Arts game,so I use them for BW2. The only reason (other than helping buddies) for continuing BW1...

As I said before, my hope is that, even if you decide to discontinue updates, per se, you'll have occasional "level up" opportunities, allowing us to continue gaining levels from time to time.

Maybe if we all post to our FB feeds when the new update comes out, imploring our friends to start playing (or playing again) to drive the numbers up...

I always post about updates - even if it's to a group, it still shows in my FB feed. I have been known to make announcements about updates too, knowing that many inactive players are still friends & have not blocked the game.

BW1 is still one of my favorite games, and always will be, so I'm really looking forward to the update! And I can't wait for Back-to-school events across the board for all the games...:)

I thought this was going to be BW1's 3rd birthday and EB1's 4th?

I hope we get a new update. I still play every day and even though I've accomplished all the quests (and do the repeating quests daily) AND I'm at max level, it's still one of my favorite games.
