Trinket Chance question

And if the trinkets still behaved as below: http://forum.djartsgames.ca/?thread_id=4005 I have: +27.5% odds to win fruit +12.5% gems +43.7% gold +17.5% mana -27.5% odds to win nothing Which is about + 101% to win things and -27.5% win nothing in total. But for some reason I still get lots of "nothings" when I whack. If this is taken out from a win nothing pool together, then my win nothing pool should be empty. Can anyone explain how this works? Is there a cap on the minimum nothing you can win? Thanks for your help! :)
