OK Gort, slow down

Is there any way to get Gort to be slower or for me to win in that bogus single arena match? I'd like to finish the beyond twiggy lake content even though my profile states that I'm actually 102% complete in the game, an old unfixed bug.

Still want to complete the 2 quests, gort and 4'th set of crew so I can get the last 2 crew members and comoplete the recruit quest. p.s. how does one get on the ship in that harbor and where does it go if I'm already 100%?
579 Posts	Link to post - Posted July 10th 2012 at 4:59 PM Ruth Orozco Raymond--some of us found luck defeating Gord by going after only the largest bushes and the balloons. Don't waste time on the smaller bushes (worth less points). I personally fought him like ten times, others twenty, while some defeated him after only a couple tries. But using that strategy is how I finally won. Also, I started BW2 without doing that last quest--didn't know about it, just clicked on BW2 and started playing. You don't really need to get on the ship, except you get some prizes for doing so. So, I know that you HATE leaving quests, etc undone, but if you can't get past him or want to start playing the new game while you finish BW1, you can do it. Welcome back!!
307 Posts	Link to post - Posted July 11th 2012 at 1:23 AM Dave Stone Arena: As soon as the timer run's out, Click in the middle of the arena, Looking for balloon's or large bushes. Give balloon's priority. Only go after small bushes if there's nothing else. If your going for a small bush and a large bush appears, Rapidly click on the large one and that should persuade your character to go for that instead of the small one. After a few tries you should be able to beat him. Welcome back Raymond, Good to see you on here again.
