This year's event uses some elements of last year's event, but is mostly new content. Players who played the event last year will have at least one new customization item to get, as well as additional ribbons and energy wins to further increase their maximum energy. FAQ: Q: How do I start the Christmas Event? A: There's an elf in Haven who will direct you to the fair; alternatively you can just go straight to the fair to get started. Q: What is new for players who completed the event last year? A: In addition to being able to win anything you missed last year, you can win additional ribbons and max energy boosters. There is also at least one new customization item and one new pet. Q: Do the new Christmas puzzle zones count towards my total completion percentage? A: No, the new zones do not count towards your completion percentage. Q: Will I get the Snowman pet from last year on Christmas day? A: No, a new pet has replaced the snowman. If you really, really want him, you can buy him for Bush Bucks from the stub trader in the North Pole. Q: I hope that Snowman is okay. A: So do we. Happy Holidays everyone! - Justin

793 Posts	Link to post - Posted December 13th 2011 at 4:40 PM Justin Stocks (CNE Dev) Sharon, you need to do the quest you got to fix the teleporter before you can use it :) Bobbi, try clearing your cache/flash cache and refreshing. There are tons of people playing right now, so it's likely that you just have a cache issue.

Is there actually a count down timer to let us know when we can open the next gate? If so, where is it? Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa everyone!
75 Posts	Link to post - Posted December 14th 2011 at 7:40 AM Norma Thompson yes please ... is there a way to tell when the 12 hours is up? the elf says that the next zone will open in 12 hours from opening the last one, i was sure i opened it last night at 10pm, its 10am now so not sure how much longer i have to wait as its not open yet :(

5565 Posts	Link to post - Posted December 14th 2011 at 5:37 PM Raymond Heather, there are no items named "Tartan" anything. But there are plaid hats and capes. Those were from the Back To School Event not Christmas Event. Every event has its own items to win. This year for people who got everything last year will only be an additional Ribbon, something for completing every square and that Tree, but I think we all got that last time so thin time perhaps only the other stuff of that quest or maybe a duplicate (there are after all some duplicate house items now). And actually they were not available during the BTS Event of 2010, just this years 2011 version of that event, so if you didn't get everything then you have to wait till next year.

5565 Posts	Link to post - Posted December 15th 2011 at 2:07 AM Last Edited December 15th 2011 at 2:11 AM Raymond the plaid cape is the 22'nd cape and if you don't have all it's in this order: Medium Green Bush Cape Short Red Heart Cape Medium Purple Hammer Cape Long White Star Cape Plaid Cape the plaid 'hat' toque is the 29'th one, in this order (you might not have the 4 from pink to pink, they cost BB's): A Pot Pilgrim Hat Sombrero Powdered Wig Pink Sombrero Princess Hat Orange Cat Ears Pink Cat Ears Tin Foil Hat Plaid Toque Dunce Cap Coonskin Cap Custodian Helmet both were offered this year whether or not you got everything last year. But if you didn't play last year then it's totally likely that you would not have possibly ever had enough School Tickets to buy everything, it was something like 200+ tickets to get all but the real question is where did you get the idea that there was a 'Tartan' hat and cape and what made you think that it's anything to do with Christmas last year?

I read on the old discussion boards that they were available during Christmas event.. When I then asked the developers, I was then told that they would be available this year from the event store npc

Those, or anything close were NOT available at Christmas. here is what we got: Snowman Christmas Tree Christmas Fireplace Pile of Presents Gingerbread Belt Buckle Holly Belt Buckle Christmas Sweater Menorah Cape Candy Cane Cape Santa Beard Elf Hat Santa Hat Reindeer Hat Mistletoe Hat Christmas Light Hat Christmas Tree Hat Reindeer Snowy Candy Cane Sword If you don't have those 2 particular things in the position I listed in that previous post then you missed something during some other Event, but not Christmas.
