I'm trying to complete the mission for the Mad Scientist where you get 16 Adamantium bars in exchange for a pet. I had a number of bars already and used Bush Bucks to buy the rest, but now it says that I still only have 9 bars, even though the Bucks I used are still gone.

The game gave me messages telling the progress of the mission and telling me that I had all 16 and could return to the Scientist, and then they were just gone.
