But I just wanted to let the dev's know about how ridiculous it's been trying to get the lava ruby for the damn weekly quest. Usually I get it in a day (sometimes it takes a full energy bar, though), but this time, it's been three days and about 7 or 8 full energy bars (and I'm at a little over 1500 energy when full) plus a whole lot of mana spells with NO LUCK. This is getting very frustrating and I agree with whomever said that there should be a cap with how much you have to spend to get this damn thing. If it takes me what will at least be 4 days now to get the lava ruby, then will I only have the mana zaps for 3 days before I have to do it again??? Please do something about how ridiculous this is, as it's becoming not worth it and, frankly, so frustrating it makes me not want to play (since it's super boring to just log in, use up all my energy in one lower level zone, get nothing, and leave).
253 Posts	Link to post - Posted April 27th 2012 at 3:00 PM Marc Kriguer The statue's one-week timer starts as soon as you charge it -- it's definitely not the case that you'd only have 3 days' worth of mana zaps before it runs out again.

I view it as something you spend a lot of time and energy into getting set-up NOT so you can activate it right away, but so that you may keep it ready for activation for whenever a new event comes out.

I charge it up every week without using bucketloads of energy. Occasionally, it takes me a lot of whacking and energy to find it, but not the majority of the time. I always use the same zone to find it unless it's one of the few times that I don't find it soon after starting the Quest for it, then I'll try a second zone. I also use the Quester's Favor Spell. I think it's as random as everything else is. For example, I'm Level 141, and have only ever whacked up one Emerald, and have never whacked up a Diamond, though I know of people having whacked up 9 Diamonds. I have one Buddy who whacked up 3 Diamonds before she even hit Level 100, but it totally eludes me, and I'm not sure that I'll ever whack up a Diamond at this point. Two Achievements that I don't think I'm ever going to earn. It all seems completely random to me.
