Friends not getting requests
Lvl 440 "Power Whacker" 17 Posts	Link to post - Posted April 20th 2012 at 7:52 AM Tuddy Mathieson I have repeatedly sent requests out for energy packs and no one has responded. So I chatted with a few friends who were online but they said they never received the request. What is going on? I seem to receive like 10 or more from one person back to back. How are they doing that?

The only reason your friends should not be receiving your requests after you have selected them and sent them is that they have you (or the app) blocked for requests. Cheers, Peter

If nothing happens when you click the pink bubbles that means you have no requests. Cheers, Peter

41 Posts	Link to post - Posted April 20th 2012 at 9:31 AM aphie I've recently added a huge number of friends for BW2 and have been asking for energy packs all day but I haven't received a single one. Have just done a FB wall post asking if people are seeing my requests but with the amount of people I have as friends in BW2 its very unlikely for me to not get a single energy pack :( Please fix - I'd like to receive packs, use them and whack lots more bushes :)

How often? (time between receipt / use of a pack and next available request) How are we supposed to know who already sent a pack when we request again? (The FB request screen is requiring us to chose who to ask, so how do we know who not to ask as there appears to be some limit to the number we can ask?)

That means 24 friends will attempt to respond for nothing? (that equates to spam imo) Last 'successful' attempt to request energy would only allow me to ask 20 friends :( (earlier attemps the limit was 3!). I haven't been able to request since then (keep getting the buddy request pop up instead), so when I can I'll have to try remember who I didn't ask last time. After a few days / requests it will be impossible to remember who's tun it is to get spammed :( Sorry, this is a very bad way to handle requests. BW1 had it right, no need to request energy as those actually playing and willing will send energy whenever they see the red flask.

To be fair your friends don't get anything for responding to those requests anyways so it really isn't any different. There is a system to prevent people from requesting from the same person more than once a day. I feel like we are striking a good balance between apamming and still allowing people to get the items they need. Cheers, Peter
Lvl 39 "Is Puzzled" 150 Posts	Link to post - Posted April 23rd 2012 at 8:55 PM Lottie Mytho Hi Peter, In BW1 there are filters in the ranking pages for 'Today' / '7 Days' / '30 Days' -- to avoid spamming buddies that aren't playing for a while, I use the 7 day list and only send help requests to those that have played during the last week. Any plans to add these ranking filters to BW2? Will the current request filter for BW2 remove friends that haven't played for a while? I can see it being very annoying to get lots of requests for a game you aren't currently playing, but don't remove as you may want to return to it. (When friends take a holiday they may come back to dozens, or even hundreds of redundant requests that take too long to go through, possibly putting them off resuming the game.)
