I think this game would benefit from being able to press keys on the keyboard and do an action. Many people are probably used to this from all of the MMO's out there.

For example:

M will open the world map.
I for Inventory.
P to activate power.
B to open the spell book.
Q for the Quick Whack.

Etc Etc.

Maybe even add in direction arrows for movement?

It could be an option for BW Club members.

^ a bad idea (Melody's)

Anyhow, there are, in fact, several keyboard shortcuts in BW, but they are not listed. The only reason I know of some of them is because David (or was it Justin?) told me about them.

Even if Brandon's suggestion is not implemented, I think there should be somewhere in game that lists the already-existing shortcuts.

Digression:
A surprising number of Facebook games actually feature keyboard shortcuts, but I have yet to see one that lists what they are in-game. I've only learned about them from the various forums of those games.

This isn't a bad idea. Currently most of the keys you mentioned do something special already if you are an admin :) Like P for example is show the path finding grid, and Q is an edit mode for placing quest related items. Anyway we are due to make some changes to the bushwacker flash soon, I will try to remember to mention this idea to mark when he is working on said changes.

It shouldn't be too hard to differentiate between the two modes and having a different set of Keys for each mode. (From a programmer's perspective.)

Either way, thanks for taking a look at my idea! :D

Would the Flash changes being considered be to try to reduce the size somewhat? some 700 MEGS is way to big. Every time you have an update you lose many players who can't play any more and are fed up with trying to keep up with the jones'es in computer power...
YHou know, the options you have already, to save to disk vs use cache memory or whatever HAS ABSOLUTELY NO ability to help anyone. Please make something that will work, and please stop the memory leaks, my browser just uses more and more memory whenever, and only whenever, I'm playing Bushwhacker.
