The Windows Installer version of the Desktop Launcher can cause some issues, particularly when running Windows 11.

If you're on a Windows machine, you can try the Windows.zip version, which is packaged with Adobe Air and can be run without installing Adobe Air on your computer. You can download it from the Downloads page by clicking the yellow "Download Windows Zip" button.

To use this version, follow these steps:

1) Locate the downloaded "BushWhacker2.zip" in the File Explorer. You can expect this to be in your "Downloads" folder, but it could be somewhere else if you've changed your browser's default download location.

1) Right-click the downloaded file and click "Extract All". A "Extract Compressed (Zipped) Folders" popup should appear.

2) Click the "Extract" button. This will add a "BushWhacker2" folder to the same folder the .zip was in. You can move this folder to a different location if you'd like. Perhaps a dedicated "Games" folder on your Desktop, in your user folder, or elsewhere.

3) Open the extracted "BushWhacker2" folder, then the "BushWhacker2.app" folder, and then double-click "Bush Whacker 2.exe" to run the game.

4) Windows may pop up a warning here "Windows protected your PC". You can trust us, so click the "More Info" text, then the white "Run anyway" button at the bottom.

After this, the green launch screen should appear! Huzzah, you've done it!

For your convenience, you can right-click the "Bush Whacker 2.exe" and "Pin to Start" to quickly run the game from your start menu. Alternatively, you can right-click, click "Show more options", then "Create shortcut", and place that where ever you like to run your games from.
