The next developer forum Q&A begins Monday August 26th at 1 PM to 2 PM Pacific (or 8-9 UTC). Feel free to post your questions in advance if you're unable to attend, and I'll try to answer all the questions during the live session.
1839 Posts	Link to post - Posted August 14th at 11:31 AM Last Edited August 25th at 11:26 AM Flybaby Hi Nick, Just a little reminder (with Halloween is just around the corner), of a few requests that you said you would consider this year for the Halloween event. 1) The Moulder Most Foul quest reward lets players pick a permanent replica Halloween decoration for their ranch, but there is no indicator of which decorations they already own. Same for the Custom Jack-o'-lantern options. Is it possible to add that information to help players make a decision so that they won't accidentally buy a duplicate? 2) Could you make both a Nurse hat and Nurse Shirt available to players as customizable items? There are two NPCs in Bushwhackia that are wearing the Nurse costume. One in the Mine Collapse and one in the Halloween event (kid in front of H.M.) 3) More spooky things to decorate our Ranches please … most importantly Wall and Floor Spider Webs, and Blood Splatters, and Wall Torch. Also, rotatable/stackable colored hay bales. Haunted Mansion Hay colors: Grey, Green, Black, Pale, and Red. Cenote Hay colors: Red, Purple, Blue, and Yellow. 4) You were considering adding the Haunted Ranch Theme to the Amicus Store. Is that still on your "to do" ist? --------------------------------------------- Suggestions from last year that you said you would consider: 1) Nate quest for Christmas Event. He's got a snowmobile, but he's only wearing a short sleeved shirt. Winter clothing and snowmobile gear would be nice. 2) Snow Piles for our winter ranches (like the ones from the Christmas Heavy Snowfall quest). ---------------------------------------------- New Year's Wish List 1) "Knitting Needles" and Crochet hook Swords. And perhaps a basket of yarn, and a knitted/crocheted project (such as a sweater, hat, etc? Maybe this could tie in to Mrs. Claus' Ugly Sweater quest-line. 2) A free standing New Year’s Banner that has the words “Happy New Year” written on it (similar to the Easter Egg Hunt Sign/Banner). 3) Father Time Gnome 4) Streamers, Noise Makers As always, thanks for all you do Nick!
118 Posts	Link to post - Posted August 17th at 2:33 PM TheCatWhispurrer In running with FlyBaby's Halloween Suggestions, I wish to remind you of my last two suggestions for Animated Decorations: 1) Poltergeist Table; all it needs is magnets 2)Mausoleum: a holograph hidden inside that activates as the door opens to reveal a ghost Just suggestions for you to think about; other plans, no problem, at least you'll have these again to consider for next year.
774 Posts	Link to post - Posted August 17th at 10:30 PM Russel Denton In continuation with Flybaby's Halloween/xmas idea's 1- i agree that the coloured hay bales in cenote hub, should be included in halloween event, should not be hard to implement 2 - I suggested in the last few months for a halloween decoration to keep and put on our ranch, a spider coming out of the ground, or even a graboid -like creature 3- Flybaby's suggestion for an indicator on what decoration you have would also be good for the gingerbread house quest for xmas too OTHER IDEA'S 1- for spring event what if we made our own floristry piece/flower arrangement, and can put on our ranch 2- Xmas event -make our own wreath to put on the ranch

Can we make it all fishing quests including the infamous michin fishing quest.

I plan on decorating, only, on Halloween and would really like this simple add to the game, please. Ty. And sorry to hear about all the firing of your amazing coworkers.I sure hope Georgia wasn't one of them. I miss her.

Halloween: 1) Yes, indicators for what replicas you already have would be good! I've made sure this is on my list to consider. 2) The Nurse hat and shirt would be low-hanging fruit! We would need a male version of the hat (even if it looks the same, there are some technical requirements to adding it). I'll see if Georgia can make that happen. 3) I'll consider letting you get some more of the Haunted Mansion decorations for your Ranch. 4) I'll keep the Haunted Ranch Theme in mind, for sure. Christmas: 1) We'll see about getting Nate dressed a bit warmer. Though, his light clothing does give him more excuse to make a bonfire... 2) Adding the Snowpiles to this years store items should be easy! Noted. NYE: 1) There might be some knitting items we could use. I'm not sure I get the connection to NYE though. What am I missing? 2) We'll see if Georgia has time this year to draw up a free-standing banner. It would be cool, I agree. 3) A Father Time gnome would be appropriate, for sure. 4) I'll note Streamers and Noise Makers down, yes.

The holograph sounds neat. Noted.

Same for the graboid. Noted! 3) Noted! 4) A custom flower arrangement sounds really neat! I'll note that down for the next Spring Garden event. 5) A custom wreath is also a cool idea. The Christmas event already has the custom gingerbread house, but maybe for after that one.

Adding gold/energy when you fish up quest items would sweeten the deal, but I'm not sure that aligns with other quest items. I'll note it down to consider though. The michin fishing quest is one of the few quests that rewards a Mount. As such, I'm not inclined to make it easier to do. I do get the desire to make it easier though.

The mini golf wall hangings are on my list to consider for the next Quality of Life update, after the Prismatic Passage quest hub is out. Thank you. It was a hard time. Fortunately Georgia is still working with me on Bush Whacker 2!
