It would be nice if, when one is changing swords, the de-equipped sword's runes went into hibernation, as it were, the clock stopped and their hard-crafted runes (hard for me to do, anyway) stayed until one equipped it again.

@ikini: It's on the Consideration List already. MANY have requested this for some time now.
This and the possibility of putting "collars" on pets to which a trinket or two could be attached. All are noted and being taken into consideration.

For the collar bit, I think runes might be considered as well as, or instead of, trinkets would be useful.

But, I also believe that we have a tendency to forget that this isn't a major multiple developer complex big time, big name game; this is Nick for programming and development and Georgia for artistry. Let's give these two individuals their due and be thankful for what we get as the fruits of their labor.

To that end, let me just say this one last thing: Nick and Georgia, we thank you both immensely for the wonderful game that you have given us. I am sorry we don't all stop to take the time more often to express our true heartfelt appreciation for all the hard work you do.

Happy New Year Nick!

I agree with TheCatWhispurrer ... Thank you so much for all you do throughout the year for us Bush Whackers! We may not say it often enough, but everything you and Georgia do does not go unnoticed. I hope 2024 is a great year for you, and all Bush Whackers out there!

I also want to add my Happy Birthday wishes to the list of others that have posted them here. Hope your special day is as awesome as you are!!!

Also a BIG thank you for the New Year's items. Love the Gnome!

1) Just a suggestion: To avoid confusion, would it be possible to rename the "Companion Cube" (Christmas event reward) to clarify that it is a ranch item and not a pet/companion?
... The name is also very similar to the Cube Companions from the Nate's Birthday Event.

Question: The description of the Companion cube is "The Enrichment Center is required to remind you that the Weighted Companion Cube cannot talk." Is that perhaps an Easter Egg? A quote from GLaDOS a fictional character from the video game series Portal. (Video Game 2007)?

2) I would still love to see a Nate questline for future Christmas Events. He is so cold, he had to chop down a big tree to make a fire for warmth. He's got a great snowmobile nearby, but he's only wearing a short sleeved shirt. Some warm winter clothing and snowmobile gear would come in handy. :-)

3) One more idea ... Snow Piles for our ranch like the ones from the Christmas Heavy Snowfall quest. It doesn't have to be a Christmas item, just something we can use with our winter ranch theme.

Idea's for future christmas events

1- looking at the elves at each station they each have different coloured hats, red with green rim, white with blue rim, blue with white rim and green with red rim,
now only one of these hats have been a CI's for the xmas event, the green with red rim, could we have the other elves hats as CI's for future xmas events please

2- in the last 2-3 xmas events we have missed out on an achievement where we have to wear certain items and steal from the house or deliver a present, here is a few idea's to bring it back

- a gingerbread head mask, gingerbread man shirt, ginger bread man gloves - when we steal or deliver a present - we could get the achievement
" Can't catch me i'm the gingerbread man"

- a frosty the snow man head mask, snowman shirt ( with coal buttons ) - when we steal or deliver a present we could get the "I melted away" achievement

3- the person we have to find her missing reindeer, it would be good if it had a continuation from it, as to explain why the reindeer keep escaping etc,

4- for the making of the snowman quest, i have a few idea's for the colour of it's hat

- tartan coloured hat
- wears a akubra hat ( similair to the dundee hat )
- a coloured hat with dots

OTHER IDEA'S FOR THE GAME

A - Nate's b'day event - i suggested this before ,but we could get the dragon that appears also appear in the valentine's day event,
and we help it find a mate for valentine's day

B - talking to some players, they would like a special space made just for us to put our crops on and only crops, no decorating

C - Valentine's day - in Australia we have a flower called the love flower Pseuderanthemum variabile, could we have a quest where we have to find some and get to keep some for our ranches perhaps

Suggestion from Player Bartimaeus:

- would like more coloured boards to put our ribbons on, here's some idea's
- light/pastel fluro pink board/s
- light or dark blue board

Suggestion from player Itsy:

- It'd be quite nice if we could bulk fish like we can at the casino, you know, 10 bait/cast. Or like at the fairground, cast as much as you can, rather than one at a time. Maybe not an immediate option, but one you have to work for, say cast so many times before it's allowed, or a separate quest to reward you for it

@Russel Denton: There are already two snowman head masks, but I do like the idea of the snowman shirt or sweater (from Ms. Clause). The Gingerbread Man costume sounds cute, too.

The only way I can see the need of a "Crops Only" place being useful is if we can get more plots, but that's a different discussion. No one ever said you have to decorate your ranch, island, golf course, or even your pasture, but what else would you do with it? For the Crops Only, that means you couldn't place your crops research station, tractor, seeder, sprinkler, or (for those who purchase the starter kit) the water tower, but you need to have those in order to keep your crops alive and productive. So, no, I don't see the need for a "Crops Only" location. I was going to try to place crops onto my pasture, but now that I think about it, to help other players with their crops, you go to their Ranch. Just don't decorate the ranch, other than the house and crops necessities if that's what you want to do.

My mind and imagination just won't permit for me to leave well enough alone like that. I want to decorate my golf course with something other than golf plots, but that just won't happen, either. Oh well.

Speaking of the Pasture, I'm going to try to fabricate a Farmhouse and turn the Pasture into a full-fledged Farm, even if I can't use real crops, there are plenty of ways to create faux crops.

Regarding the Russ comment - "talking to some players, they would like a special space made just for us to put our crops on and only crops, no decorating"

I like helping players when they need help. But when the ranch is packed it takes forever to get there and I avoid help since my game freezes.

Just a harvest spot would be nice with no decorations

Is there any possibility of putting a transporter (or something) near the entrance to the flungeon? Those stairs...

Happy New Year!

I am trying to create a 'perfect mount' of every type, but I can't find any mount with Nothing to Gold odds to feed it my Barley. Is there such a mount available somewhere, and where can I find or buy it?
And if it does not exist yet, is there any chance of a future mount coming out with such odds? I would really like to complete my set of 'perfect mounts'.

Hi michaelm37

There are a couple of things you can do if you want to get started creating a mount with Nothing to Gold odds.

1) You can remove bonuses from a mount that you currently have.
2) Use Hay to reroll potential bonuses until you find Nothing to Gold odds.
3) Or use Pristine feed if you have it. Pristine feed gives you 100% chance of getting the associated bonus, completely overriding all other potential bonuses (Pristine feed can be used regardless of which potential bonuses are showing.)

Here's a wiki link with more details that you might find helpful.

Hi Flybaby,

Thank you for your reply. But most mounts (or all of them?) start with 5% chance to get X. So a perfect 'Nothing to Gold mount' would still need a "5% Nothing Wins Change to Gold" to start with. Even if I would level a random mount to level 40, always using pristine Barley to level it, than I still end up with a mount with a 'wrong' 5% bonus.

I totally get the appeal of this suggestion and it's on our list to consider for a future quality of life update!
