These are ideas and examples. I haven't been around for a few years, and have no clue if any of them have been suggested before; nor am I quite sure what I would search for in the Forum to determine this.

QOL ideas for BW2
A] Ways to easily find specific players.
0. (Button) In the main game window while visiting a players Ranch, a Button to the right of the Back to Your Ranch Button that says "Where am I?". Button triggers the text that says "{Player_name} Ranch", this is the same text that displays on scene load. This is a method by which to determine which Ranch, Golf Course or Event you are currently on. *10/27 Just figured out where to look for this location information. Leaving this in because lazy author syndrome is real.
1. (Button) "Favorites" Button by Player Profile Button, and (Drop Down) sort by Favorites in Drop Down menu. Similar to Inventory Favorites.
2. (Tag Field and Drop Down) Ability to add tags, and (Search Filter) search by tag. Probably not necessary to have a list of tags but this may easily be done by looking in the drop down menu. Might not be necessary to have more than 5 player created tags. Similar to Search by Name.
3. (Check box or Drop Down) Ability to filter by who has unhelped flux crops, and other crops of similar mechanism/rarity. Similar in function to Has Crops Sort/list of Helpers on Crops in Ranch.
4. (Check box or Drop Down) Ability to sort/filter and visit Event/Ranch places for photo/voting contests. Conflates Visit in Event Dialog popup into View All Friends Dialog. Similar in function to Has Crops/Visit Golf Course.
5. Set Visit my Event Area to off by default. Ability to set this on or off by default. (Popup Dialog) On first load after Event start. "Do you want to allow people to visit your [Haunted House] this year? [Yes] [No]". This is an option the game remembers between Events. May require a change in Event programming.
6. (Color) (Amount) Different colored ! on Avatars for Events, Flux, etc. Possibly multiple !'s. Similar to Has Crops !.
B] Chat
7. Sort muted accounts to the top of chat. When a player is unmuted their posts are displayed in chat retroactively. When muted a players posts stop being displayed, but are still added to the local chat log in real time. Since I haven't seen a comparable mechanic in BW2 or CNE: Similar to Message Config (upper right) in Trimps at https://trimps.github.io/.

Examples:
1)There are 3 friends I have who have things like slots and statues, I don't remember their in game names.
Available methods. I could spam chat with the phrase "Do you have slot machines?" I could also visit up to 250 ranches. Most of my friends are max level, so I can't sort that way. Almost all of my friends are active and have crops, so that method is ineffective. I am reduced to manually going through up to 250 Ranches by hand to find these players, and once located I have no way to tell which Ranch I am currently on, *10/27 again I am leaving this here because of lazy author syndrome* lastly I must record this information elsewhere like in a text document or spreadsheet.
Flowthrough vision. I have found one of the 3 friends in the 37th Ranch I visited. I click on "Where am I?" The text hongkongelder's Ranch transitions in and fades out. I click on View All Friends. I click the Button "Favorite", to the left of hongkongelder's Avatar and under the View Profile Button. I add the player created tag "Goodies". I add this tag to hongkongelder by clicking on a Star Drop Down located above the View Profile Button, and then on the Tag "Goodies" in the Drop Down menu. I type "goo" into the Search Box. The View All Friends Dialog displays the Friends Goober3, and hongkongelder.
Incorporates ideas 0,1,2.

2)I have several friends who like to build/share ranch layouts and Haunted Houses, etc.
Available methods. I can watch chat for actual entries. Finding potential participants is currently easiest by looking in the Event Progress dialog and clicking Visit in the Your Friends progress list. About 90% of these are people who just didn't bother turning off the on by default Visit my Event option. Not terribly difficult, but not as user friendly or robust as the View All Friends Dialog.
Flowthrough vision. The Halloween Event has started. I log in to Bush Whacker 2. A Popup Dialog appears that says "Do you want to allow people to visit your [Haunted House] this year? [Yes] [No]". If I click the Yes Button, then the Visit Button for the Event is turned on by default. If I click the No Button, then the Visit Button for the Event is turned off by default. If I click the X Button, then my preference from previous Events is set. If there I have never answered this Popup Yes or No, then the Visit Button for the Event is turned off by default. I can always change this by looking for the NPC with a blue !. The Popup Dialog will not show for the rest of this years Halloween Event. I go to the View All Friends Dialog. I select Event/Contest from the Drop Down Menu. 4 friends who answered yes to the Popup Dialog stack at the start of list. These Friends ! are orange. They have a colored clickable Button whose tooltip on mouseover says "Visit Event" below the Visit Ranch Button. All other Friends have a greyscale nonclickable Button that gives no tooltip.
Incorporates ideas 4,5,6.

3)I have many friends who sometimes have Flux Flax.
Available methods. I have no method other than watching chat or blind luck to know who currently does have flux, or if I have helped.
Flowthrough vision. From the Drop Down Menu in the View All Friends Dialog, I select Has Flux. The 3 out of 250 Friends who have Flux crops that I haven't helped stack at the top of the list. The ! on these Avatars is blue. Next is 2 players who have flux crops and I have helped. Their ! is grey. Default sort of remaining Friends.
Incorporates ideas 3,6.

4)I see from time to time references in chat to people I have muted. Occasionally I wish to unmute these people.
Available methods. Scroll through the entire list of people in chat, hoping to find the right one. Or ask someone else what a muted person said. (ChatLog) ChrisJr30: indeed they do [redacted]; WildlifeGuru007: @[Redacted], did you hear the latest anthropological find, they discovered cannibals don't eat clowns, due too them tasting funny (EndChatLog) I sort through all the people in chat. I find [redacted] at around position 49 out of 60. I could unmute [redacted] and ask what they said. I can also not unmute [redacted] and ask the chat in general what they said. I cannot otherwise determine what [redacted] said.
Flowthrough vision. Muted people are at the top of the chat list. I can unmute and mute them easily using the existing Mute/Unmute Buttons after clicking on a player name. Unmuting shows the unmuted persons posts in the chat retroactively, so you don't need to ask what the unmuted person said. Muting hides all lines from muted person, but still saves them to the local chat log.
Incorporates idea 7.

If you select 'Can't decide', then that's NOT a vote. A vote is an affirmative response.

Hi Nick ...

1) There are some players that didn't realize that trick or treating had started. Is it possible for you to put a notice in the game, such as placing an exclamation point above an NPC in the event area that alerts us that we can start trick or treating. (similar to notice we get with the Easter Egg Hunt).

Also, it would be handy to have the NPC provide a list of locations found (as with the Easter Event).

2) I sent you a note about this, but I'll post it here as well, for other players to be aware.

There is a Robot in the office with candy in Flux 17.0, 18.0, 19.0 and 20.0 but you can only collect candy from the first one you click on.
*If you try to collect from more than one flux robot, you will get the message: "Alert: Chat text not found"
Is it possible to remove the older flux trick or treat locations to avoid confusion?

@Russ ... you can buy the Tall Palm Tree from the Burglary Boutique for 200 Island Tokens. After that they are available to buy at your ranch store for 2500 gold.

Also, when you are using the Jungle and Beach Themes on your ranch or island, you will find that your Leafy Green, Leafy Tan, and Leafy Brown trees will automatically convert to different types of palm trees. And you'll see the tall palm trees along the parameter of your ranch or island too. Pretty neat!!!

QOL 0 - Still would be nice to have a more readily accessible way to see who's ranch you're visiting!
QOL 1 - Favourite Friends has been suggested before and is on the QoL list.
QOL 2 - Searchable custom tags would certainly take inventory management to the next level. Other players have suggested being able to group items their own way, which is a version of this.
QOL 3 - Being able to view what crops friends are growing before you visit would be interesting information for sure.
QOL 4 - Yes, that's a fair point. Adding the event specific decoration locations to the Your Friends popup would be convenient and easier to sort by.
QOL 5 - I'm not sure defaulting event visitors to off is the right move for everyone, but I can't argue against letting players set the default themselves.
QOL 6 - We do already support Yellow, Green, and Blue exclamation marks on NPCs. Which types of NPCs are you thinking should have different exclamation marks?
QOL 7 - Some players would not like to be reminded of the players they've muted, but I agree aggregating them somewhere to review would be good. Maybe at the bottom of the list, or behind a "See Muted" button. Our chat server is old and temperamental, so I'm not keen to make changes to it unless there's a large demand for it from the playerbase, but I do think these would be improvements.

I appreciate the examples you provided! They do a great job of describing a smoother experience regarding managing and visiting friend's ranches and event locations, and the chat.

I've updated our suggestions document with the new ideas here. Thank you for sharing them with us.

2- ability to rotate the bridge/pond thing

1) Currently I wouldn't consider selecting "I can't decide" as skipping those options, as such it doesn't count as a vote, thus the achievement does not count it. I might be convinced otherwise, but I believe it's working as intended.

2) The goggles are a very old custom item. I'm not certain their origin, but they might actually be from Mystic Guardians. I'll consider making them available to players!

3) Flybaby has answered your question! The Palm Trees can be bought in the Burglary Boutique for 200 Island Tokens.

4) Rotating the pond bridge would not be impossible, but Georgia would have to re-draw it to be vertically facing. I'll note it down for her to consider!

1) Good point! A notification would be good. I can put one it now for folks who haven't noticed, and will make note for next year. A list of location would be very useful, yes. Like the one for the Explorer's League!

2) Yes, I've made note to remove the older robots for next year. I appreciate you bringing this to my attention!

Okay folks, this is all I have time for, thus concluding this week's forum Q&A! Thank you for the questions, feedback, and discussion! I hope those quietly reading this afterwards find it informative.

I am still sick, but if I'm feeling better, you can tune in to the Bush Whacker Weekly livestream tomorrow for more Golf Course Cruising! See you then!

If you've got a mini golf course or ranch you're willing to show off, let me know!
