Adam Thinesis there any way u guys can put something in so we can choose the level from which we can get our guardians. example: level 1-the level we are at. our guardians are at a disadvantage if they are at the level we are when we capture them. they miss out on all the level up upgrade they get from level 1 to the level we are at.

Mania Gowthat or sending our guardians from untrained(only) to level 1 and of course it should be in a way that after we reach that level again we will have the same or more stats than before, if i had 40 attack on one, retrain and he hitted 36 would be a waste of our time

Benedikt AlbertYes, please do something about that with the next minor update. That blocks me from spending Boost Points on Whirly since I want to use the Beans only for a level 1 Whirly.
There are so many ways to implement that... and most are easy to do. Just a few examples: 1. Let the player choose on capture: Level 1 or player level (or guardian level of course, if lower than player level) 2. Option to set a Guardians level back to 1 at the Guardian Centre. 3. Just make the capture level always be level 1 and to something else with the player levels because currently player level is a penalty. 4. Don't change anything on the capture level part, but give higher level Guardians the same amount of stat points, that level 1 Guardians have at that level (this could be for newly captured Guardians only and doesn't have to be added retroactively). If you think, that any of this is a balancing issue regarding generating Trainer Tokens through capture: 1. It wouldn't be much of a difference since you can as well capture level 4 Guardians in The Southern Forest and level them almost as fast as a level 1 Guardian. 2. You could give less Trainer Tokens for Guardians, that don't have the regular capture level. Please open your minds in this matter... :> |

Askari AddisonI agree. Please let the new captures be able to go to level 1. It's a huge disadvantage that is only getting worse. Basically a penalty for playing the game, which doesn't make sense.

Nate DauerI've been 'slowing down' a lot in the game simply because I'm unwilling to put a lot of work into MGs I *would* be investing in such as TskTsks, Bhaddingtons, Gebbles, etc. since I can't get them at level one.

Nate DauerIf I remember correctly, the plan was to make the starters available for Trainer Tokens... but it looks like it could be a while before they introduce a town that sells them...

Benedikt AlbertDevs can you at least please give a short statement on your schedule about this? I have all those new Guardians and am not willing to level them currently (because it could very well be a waste of time from my point of view... depending on what you have in mind). Oh and "We won't change anything there." is an answer too, then we know what we can expect.

David Whittaker (CNE Dev)Hi Benedikt
We tabled the idea of letting guardians be reduced to level 1 because of the potential to just be a trainer token generator. Your note about the level 4 ones in the Southern Forest is a case that we should probably remedy. It might make the most sense to adjust the way sale value is calculated - maybe based on the number of battles a guardian has fought with you, not its level ups. Anyway we will certainly consider this, but I can't give you an ETA. -David |

Lasynda ShichirojiHi David,
hehehe promise no walls of text this time :D As far as farming Trainer Tokens goes even if you change that there are other ways you have opened in the game for farming tokens. So realistically speaking to change this one way and not the others is cutting of your nose to spite your face. Yeah I can see how the 4 tokens between 1 and 4 can make a difference in what people get but for people who don't farm or can only play once a day and such it would hurt them if you increased the cost of things or reduced what they can get for selling a Guardian. However I would be interested in how you would change the sale cost to be based on fights instead of level. I know for me and my team of Mookies they have been in LOTS of fights so if I did decide to sell them all for Tokens and space, since things are getting limited with the lack of extra space added for new Guardians they would be no different then most of the other Guardians I have just not as high a level yet. -Lasynda |

Benedikt AlbertThank you for answering David.
It's now up to me to ponder what I do until you come up with something. Most likely I will spend some time to level the new Guardians (but not very much) and replace them later. And altough I know that it wont help: Please make it a high priority. ^^ |

Askari AddisonJust allow only Guardians retained at your current level to be traded. That would make it more fair for newer players, and would ensure people only got level 1s to keep. Or just make it progressively less lucrative to farm level 1s for trainer tokens. Honestly I don't know why you guys instituted the trade Guardians for TT mechanic in the first place... it sort of forces people who augment to farm Guardians, rather than having people optimize what they have with limited resources.

Askari AddisonI'm not saying my suggestion is ideal either, but it does seem that this is a major liability when you fight trainers with 5-7 levels on you, and your Guardians have been hobbled by the level losses we incur due to having a higher trainer level.

Adam ThinesDavid. A lot of us don't want to reduce the levels of our guardians just to level them up and sell them. I for 1 want to raise them all from level 1 so that they are stronger. Because if say I catch them at level 12 then there are 11 levels in there where they haven't gotten any kind of training. I think it would be fair to let those of us who want to raise our guardians from level 1 to let us. They have lost out on trainings that I wish I could have given them. And it would be fair for the trainers that don't spend real money to strengthen them if they could start all their guardians from level 1. This way their guardians have the potential to be as strong as the player's guardians that spend money. Please think about this and get back to us.

Adam ThinesThat might actually be another way of keep players interested in the game. Or u guys could take the game down and bring it back up after about a month with like 3 new gyms. But I know u guys won't do that cause the people that play right now are just beta testers. Here's an idea. How about u guys give the people that are playing I.E. (beta testers) the third starter for testing the game out for you. That would be a fair price in my opinion. Give us guinnie pigs the third starter for helping u guys test the game. Seems fair to me

Aniya Allenwe test and test and spend money on the game but all we get out of it is to play, spend money and to deal with errors......They should give a goodie bag to us every now and again to show us that they care.......They could add in a game of chance have 12 items flashing and when you click the stop button what ever you land on is your prize for the day. Yes it would take over they reward for the day but it gives you the chance to get better stuff.

Arthoo LightbrinDavid,
just an idea to solve the "trainer token generator" problem.. Earning Tokens applies to the level of the guardian when captured.. so if we choose to make the guardian level one from 13 for example.. that guardian will not earn Trainer tokens until lvl 14.. get my drift? just an idea.. |

Aniya AllenDavid that is a good idea.... Make the amount of token go off of how many battles the G has went thru.....I like that one

Jackie ZhangI suggest that you can buy off leveling down your Guardian, each level cost you 1 token, so even if you level them up to sell, you will still get the same amount of token.
