Launcher (or compatibility steps) for Linux?

Is there anyone here who has experience getting Windows programs to run on Linux? I'd love to use the desktop launcher to play the game, but I'm on a Linux machine (Ubuntu 20.04, to be exact) and while I'm pretty good at following steps to run Wine or similar compatibility methods (e.g., Lutris), I have no clue how to figure it out from scratch.

Also, are there any plans by the devs for creating a launcher for Linux? A natively compatible program would be best, although I do understand that the cost/benefit ratio for developer hours might not be the most feasible option.

Adobe Air is no longer supported on GNU/Linux as far as I can see. The installable version is too old to support the launcher. I haven't tried a newer version of Wine.
