HAHA!" or such.

What happened is I accidentally clicked yes instead of no when he asks if he wants you to make him & his companion go away forever. https://bushwhacker2.fandom.com/wiki/Amicus_Isle As for him disappearing after you've won the items, IDK. They're not easy to win. If you don't have him & want him back you can send a support ticket email here.
