AnubischickHi Whackers,
just a question, is it better (more efficient) to level a spare pet up to 40 before sale, given the time and effort that can take, or level two to 20 or four to 10 in the same time? Thoughts? Ideas? Rationalisations? Cheers |

ArmyMomOkcI have tested it to see the percent differences. I have had good results leveling to 8-10 to get rare or epic dna. If I'm feeling lazy I use a level 10 pet treat.
A max level basic pet only has a 1% chance of unique dna. Since that's not my goal leveling up to 10 has been sufficient to get good enough odds to get rare or epic dna. Here's the wiki link - https://bushwhacker2.fandom.com/wiki/Companions/Pet_Augmentation(PAGAS) There's really good info on the subject. |

AnubischickHey ArmyMom, yeah I checked that (the wiki is always my go-to, it's a lifesaver) but it seemed a little random, so thought I'd get personal experiences from players.
I think the up to 10 may be the way to go now, I've got a lot of excess duplicate pets, and since I only really swap between 2 or 3 depending on situation then pretty much all of them are excess. Thanks, I'll start cycling through them faster. |

ERIC1342Last Edited August 11th 2020 at 8:36 PM I looked at that wiki page and well... the "get a reward for getting *xx number* of "unique" pets " thing is more "worth it" then THIS (to ME anyway). on that note: by "unique" dose it mean how many "types" of pets you "discover" or how many pets you get?

ArmyMomOkcLast Edited August 12th 2020 at 11:10 AM Eric,
I don't what to think about you. Some of your comments have led me to believe you have played this game for a long time. Then you ask questions like this and I don't know what to think... So just in case you or someone else reading this really doesn't understand how unique pets are counted... You get credit 1 time for each unique pet listed in PAGAS you have owned. Meaning multiples of a pet do not count towards your pet progress for rewards. For example if you hatch a Snarky you get credit for the first time, if you hatch more of that pet those don't count towards your Pet Progress count. Releasing a pet doesn't change the number of unique pets you have had. You could release all of your pets and it won't change this number for you. You get credit the first time you have owned a pet. Below regarding your question - "by "unique" dose it mean how many "types" of pets you "discover" or how many pets you get?" Your Pet Progress Bar shows how many individual (or unique) pets you have had in your inventory. The how you got them helps define what category they are listed under in PAGAS. So, it's how many you have owned (counted only once) not types or means of obtaining the pet. Quote from wiki "Pets you obtain and release continue to count toward your pet progress.". Anubischick, I understand. That's why I did some testing on my own to see what results i would get. You're welcome :) (note: Sorry for the multiple edits. I was trying to be as clear as possible regarding pets only counting once in the pet progress count.) |
