Hey folks,

This Friday's dev chat on CNE Games is cancelled, as I'll be taking a small vacation. We'll talk to you CNE folks next week!

Sincerely,
Nick

hi nick have you gave-up on the "community events" thing ? you know like that thing you had going on "Amicus Isle" where you had like the guy taking care of like "legendary/mythical" equines and you had All the players gather things for him in like repeatable quests ? and I said it was "BUGGED-UP" did you take my advice or just give-up on that kind-of thing?

and why the "time limit" to "revive" the Thread?

Hi Eric,

The Desktop Launcher really derailed the more unique updates for the past while, like Community events.

I'm focusing on some fixes and improvements that have been long standing, and then we'll see if we can fit in some Community events in the future.

We still remember them! I promise :D

Sincerely,
Nick

glad to know you didn't scrap that idea. P.S: the pvp thing in bw1 reely HAD potential like instead of tokens to buy exclusive items it could have still gave the players exclusive items but based on the amount times they win/lose like say a "Bush-gladiator" outfit for their first 10 wins then a exclusive "gladiator" themed mount or pet for 20 consecutive wins.

but back to what I asked the functions of the forums "Sorry, threads that have not been updated within the last month cannot be revived."< why? and why cancel your "developer chat" things on the holidays?

Sorry I missed your other questions, Eric.

Reviving old threads is called "necroposting", and it typically frowned upon. Here are some reasons why:

1. Older threads can have old or outdated information.
2. It can be annoying to get alerts from a thread you replied to months ago.
3. If it's a question or request, the original poster may be inactive if it was from a long time ago.

There may be other reasons as well, but we've implemented the "cannot be revived" feature to prevent this.

Regarding cancelling developer chats on holidays, I do so as I won't be available to host the chats!

if you mean your celebrating the holidays whit your friends/family why not shorten your time on the chat or have them join you on it in like a "developer's family special" thing ?

People are allowed to not work on their day off.

that may be true but he IS the "boss" of his work and I was NOT asking you!

You're asking an employee to work on his day off. That's rude and and I'm entitled to call you out on it.

he is the "boss" behind Bush Whacker 2 and I am NOT asking anyone to do ANYTHING! I merely gave him a idea he could try instead of cancelling his "developer chat" thing.

I often won't be available to run chat sessions on my off days. Sometimes I'll move chat to another day, depending on what the development load looks like for the week. Regardless, I appreciate the suggestion, Eric.
