Bob CarlsonI'm currently on the 10th lesson. "Combine a small rune of any effect with odds at least 9%" I don't remember the exact types, but: I went to the Combine screen, put a small rune of X in the left slot, and another of the same type of small rune in the right. Successful combine but no quest update. I then tried a small rune on left, but different on right, and also small rune on right but different on left. all were 96% I believe. I crafted some more small runes and tried twice more with the same small runes on both sides. What am I doing wrong? The last two lessons, same thing happened, but after the third combine, it finally updated. Am I supposed to just keep doing combines until it finally acknowledges it?

Erika/AlynianaThe 96% refers to the success chance that the rune will combine.
The quest is asking that you make a rune with at least 9% odds to affect something. To complete that quest, you'll want to combine 2 small runes of the same type, so two small runes of Mana, and then you'll want to add a 3rd (and maybe a 4th) small rune of Mana to the Augmented Rune of Mana that results from the first combination, to end up with a total odds of 9% Mana (or slightly higher.) |

Bob CarlsonOk, cool, thanks. I didn't do a second combine. Once I did that, finished the quest. Think I was a little confused for a bit.
