I had collected way too many pets and it was a hassle to check later to find the duplicates. I finally clicked on they "Type" option and hurray, it shows the pets grouped so that you can easily find the duplicates. It's still a sloooow tedious process as once you return one pet you are flipped out of that window and have to start the whole process again. Hope this helps ease the process for someone else!
