CNEweatherly23Hello there. I'm pretty new here, having only started playing little more than a month ago, so I might have some questions about the game occasionally.
For now, I've got two questions about trinkets. First, do regular trinkets really get weaker the higher your level is? If so, that's a pretty weird system to have, as usually games have your stats and stat-boosting items get STRONGER as you level up. Second, I saw that there are trinkets you can get from limited-time events that will never come around ever again. Is it at all possible to get those trinkets if you missed out on the event? If not, there really should be a way to do so, even if it means having to spend a lot of Bush Bucks, even compared to other items that cost them. For the time being that's all I'm curious about. |

ArmyMomOkcLast Edited May 8th 2020 at 11:14 AM Hi!
Most old trinkets do get weaker. The good news is we get plenty of new trinkets as the game progresses. I don't recall getting event trinkets (I'm sure someone will comment if we have). Here is the wiki link that gives a great list and explanation of trinkets. https://bushwhacker2.fandom.com/wiki/Trinkets Happy whacking!! |

ArmyMomOkcThere are runes awarded in events. I never use them. I disenchant them for the dusts which I find is more useful.

CNEweatherly23Last Edited May 8th 2020 at 11:44 AM Ah, I misspoke. Apparently they're actually "limited-time quests", not "events", with each of them having special rewards. Also apparently the only time the game got those was in 2015. One of the trinkets was "Bush Almenac (2015-2035)" from the "(Back to the) Future Day" limited-time quest, with it giving a flat 10% increase in Puzzle and Quest odds.
Those are the kinds of items I'm talking about, though that was the only trinket among them, with the others being anything from clothing to pets. Basically items that only players who have been around since the game started were able to get normally. |

ArmyMomOkcLast Edited May 9th 2020 at 6:32 AM There are plenty of trinkets & pets that provide 10%+ puzzle/quest odds. We do get opportunities to get pets/mounts from prev mini & regular events. Every event has a store that offers items from previous years for BB. The longer you play the more you will see the vast number of items to collect. That's one of the aspects of this game I enjoy.
There are players who have played since the beginning 8 years ago that have all of an item, a feat someone who hasn't played as long will probably not achieve. I don't see anything wrong with that, I think that's a reward for being a loyal player. In regard to trinkets degrading, it's necessary to maintain the balance of this game. Below is a quote I copied from the wiki that helps explain bonus caps. Capped Odds --------------------------------- Prior to the "House Keeping" or Quality of Life updates pushed on 17 Jan 2014, players were able to equip trinkets, runes and Pets to have higher than +100% Odds. After the update, players are limited to +100% Odds. BW2 Forum: This means that for each bonus type, the combined total of all your "+ Odds to Win [bonus type]" trinkets/pet/runes cannot exceed 100%. So if you have say, +60% odds to win energy from runes, +25% odds to win energy from your pet, and +30% odds to win energy from your trinkets (adding up to 115%), you're total odds adjustment for energy will only be +100%. This is an important balance fix to prevent perpetual play in some specific situations. To be clear, your absolute total +Odds *can* still exceed 100%, but a single bonus type cannot. You can have +60% odds to win mana, +60% odds to win gold, and +60% odds to win energy all at one, but none of those bonuses can exceed 100% by themselves. - Justin Stocks (DJArts Games) |

ArmyMomOkcLast Edited May 9th 2020 at 7:33 AM I hope you have a chance to read in the wiki about trinkets. I can't explain them as well as they do in the wiki. Trinkets don't degrade by a players level, they are aged out when newer trinkets are made available in the game. Not all trinkets are aged out. The further you get into the game you will see better and better trinkets... The max you can get for any bonus is 100%. You can achieve this through a combination of trinkets/pet/mount/rune....
https://bushwhacker2.fandom.com/wiki/Trinkets ps.. I see you are level 44. You have so much fun ahead of you :) You also have sooo much game ahead of you. The longer you play the more you will understand how game items work. If you do look at the wiki be aware it contains spoilers. I think it's a great resource and sometimes it's quicker to look for an answer there than to ask in the forum. |

ArmyMomOkcLOL one more thing.. try selecting Rankings (click on brown bag & select the Trophy icon). Select a player in the list to view their profile. You can see the trinkets they are using & their stats. It's a fun way as a new player to see a piece of strategy of top players. I wish we could see their runes and what pet/mount they are using. There are thousands of combos available to create a strategy that works best for you. You're not missing anything essential by not having a trinket that was a special offer.
