Kathy JacobsIs there a way to increase the likelihood of getting rune drops? More specifically: Is there a way to increase the likelihood of gem rune drops? I seldom get random rune drops as it is - I think it will take me months to get enough gem runes for the step after Kaine's latest challenge. I am also doing the daily quest for runes again as well, but I usually get gold runes (useless to me) for those.
I did buy gem powders with bush bucks, but that isn't going to be able to be done again for weeks, unfortunately. Anyone have any ideas? |

ArmyMomOkcLast Edited April 11th 2019 at 4:24 PM Only to increase your gem odds by trinkets/pet/mount, or runes odds. I know there are pets that increase rune dust odds but I'm sure about those that increase odds for getting more runes. The VIP buff for better satchels might help. Sorry you're stuck. 😕

Raymondthere are 2 pets that have the following odds or once you own you can use dna to change any pet to have the following odds. essentially things to do with runes or rune powders.
skeletal raptor. georgia. pilgrim squirrel. bully. magic broom. chow chow. strongman doll. boxing boxer. magic spell book. and you want the pagas abilities rune bonus and rune dust bonus. but for odds to help you need it to be near 100% and that takes runes themselves and there is no odds for that on runes, only pets and mounts. but you can craft rune powders. do not simply disenchant your random whacked up runes. first combine several of them, the more the better, then disenchant that. for example a small gold rune will disenchant into a small gold rune powder, BUT combine 3 or more of those and you might get dusts of some other odds. |

you can see what runes i use and perhaps see what ones i do not use. if you have a lot of powders of things you do not use, craft a lot of smalls using those, combine 3 or more each into combines to disenchant and you might convert a portion of those into things you do want to use. costs a lot of gold though. |

Horsedancer1I have a rune maker in my house area that generates one rune about every 22 hours. It gives all kinds of runes, but as folks have already said you can combine different types of runes and turn them back into powder and perhaps get more. Sure wish I could give you some. I have 236 large runes of gems and tons of powders. :( @Erika is there a way to give someone runes now that we are on CNE's platform?

FlybabyLast Edited April 12th 2019 at 12:12 AM Kathy,
You can increase your chances of getting runes, by doing all of the daily, and hub quests that award satchels. Runes are commonly found in satchels, and there are several you can do each day, including one on AI. And, be sure to do the daily Rune Scavenging quest in the Commons for a guaranteed rune each day. At your level, if you're playing enough, and seldom getting runes, I would suggest submitting a ticket to Nick. |

Kathy JacobsThanks for the advice all. I appreciate it.
Flybaby, I have reported it to Nick in the past. He thinks it is just a matter of bad luck on my part - not a problem with the algorithm. I have gone an entire week without getting a rune drop. I generally have enough to fill my sword with a couple of extra. I don't know if that is more or less than everyone else. |

Kathy JacobsHere's a typical day of playing for me... (Granted it is the first day of the Easter event, so that might have skewed things a bit... not much though)
Whacked Energy 30K+ Mana 300+ Power: 200+- Results: Two runes - one gold one mana (two more than the average day..) One museum item One Scavenged Gem rune Three Commons quests. Results: Full refill of Mana and Power Lots of gold Couple of Sanctuary tokens Is that what most people get for that much? More? Less? I've always wondered. |

FlybabyLast Edited April 12th 2019 at 8:19 PM That actually doesn't sound too bad, Kathy. I don't know how many runes I get per day (whacking vs satchels), as I've never counted, but I'll try to pay more attention. I always have plenty of runes and dust in my inventory, but then again, I've been playing for a very long time.
One tip: Don't use your runes up as soon as you get them ... Let your runes accumulate for a while, and then once a month, disenchant them all, make small runes from them, and combine them to make two or three awesome 28-30 day runes. You might also try keeping a daily record for the fun of it, just to see how many runes you get by whacking, and how many you get from satchels. You might be surprised at the results. |

Horsedancer1Here is where I go to make the 30 day runes, but it takes a several months for you to be able to make another. Good luck!
BW2 30 day runes SBA in the Spring Thicket #59 6th island with the Cloud King To the right of where you get the Kimchi Godess quest is a large boulder. You need 6000 energy in order to move it by clicking on it. Follow the path beyond the boulder to the Secret Area. Don't worry about losing all that energy. You just have to have 6000 energy in your bar to move the boulder, then, once you have moved the boulder, you can whack away the energy in fields as normal. Spoiler: Solving the puzzle frees a fellow named Derringer. He offers you the opportunity to make a Perfect Rune. This is a rune which lasts 30 days, 12 hours; with a bonus of 60%, and a cost of 20 small vials of the appropriately colored powder. And you have to find 20 each of catalyst, 3 lasagna, and then 190 jewels of power. |

Kathy Jacobs(I won't post this every day, but wanted to show the difference between yesterday and today... esp since today was more like a regular day.)
Same amount of Mana, Power, and Energy One Rune: Gem One scavenged rune: Gem That's it. The rest was quest drops, energy, power, mana, and gold (Lots and Lots of gold). Satchels all had feed. |

FlybabyIt does seem that you are getting very low odds. I'm not sure how the devs program the game, but what we earn seems to be based on the percentage of whacks, or time played. I'd write another ticket.
