24 Posts	Link to post - Posted April 3rd 2019 at 6:41 AM Ashley Hackney Hello Everyone, I'm stuck at thee end of the latest Detective K. mission & have read to find the clues to solve the part after the end of the mission. I know about the items for the extra prize: 1.gathering the enery/power/mana pomes (the filled basket is next to the pole) 2.equipping the silver clava 3.rune-socket the odds to win gems to 100% Even though I have all equipped & filled it is still am receiving the "Maybe I should look for more clues message" Is there an additional step? A.Hackney

12 Posts	Link to post - Posted April 3rd 2019 at 1:31 PM JosephLupton I put 95% gem odds on the clava. That's the amount the hovels add to. It worked for me. So maybe 100% doesn't work because it's not exact.

372 Posts	Link to post - Posted April 4th 2019 at 4:46 AM phagras Not so. 6 grandest runes at 15% each plus one large rune at 10% makes exactly 100%. Not a combination I'd use for general whacking but fine for this puzzle. Although I'd use 5 grandest and 2 large for the 95% minimum requirement.

The light and dark huts are hard to distinguish [even with the fix] so you can't go wrong with bringing it up to at least 100% [even though less may work]. It's easier than trying to guess at the exact minimum amount needed.
372 Posts	Link to post - Posted April 4th 2019 at 10:44 AM phagras I hadn't checked since Nick said they would adjust them but I now see they've noticeably lightened the thatch on two of the huts. That makes 5 dark and 2 light so 95% is definitely the correct figure you need to hit.
1893 Posts	Link to post - Posted April 4th 2019 at 3:30 PM Flybaby For the sake of accuracy on the wiki spoiler, I decided not to note the exact number of light and dark huts, since Nick, himself wasn't exactly sure when asked about it during a chat last week. But I did make a notation on the wiki to clarify that although Runesocketing your sword to 100% will ensure success, a lesser percentage may work. This leaves it open for players to do a little experimenting if they want.

I'll figure out later how much % on gem odds I'll need afterwards. Right now it's taking forever to pick up Mana pomes. May I ask a few more questions about the kaine mysteries? 1. Where does the special key go to? It is described as Kaine knows what it unlocks. 2. What were the ice picks & ancient screwdriver go?
