FlybabyLast Edited February 25th 2019 at 6:00 PM *** Note to Devs: Could you please sticky this post? ***
I had a bit of a scare today, when I couldn't log into my BW2 game (via BFG). I eventually found an email from BFG Customer Support explaining the problem. I was able to get a temporary PW to get into my account, change my PW, and play my game again. For any of you who have an account on BFG (even if you have transferred your BW2 game), I would suggest changing your PW for your protection. Here's an excerpt from the email: Dear Big Fish Gamer, During routine security monitoring, we identified an unusual pattern of attempts to log into the Big Fish website using usernames and passwords likely obtained from a third-party source. Some of these attempts resulted in a very small amount of successful account logins, however, we have no indication that any account information was accessed or compromised. For your protection, we have reset your password to help secure your account. In order access your Big Fish account, you will need to visit the Sign In page and click the Forgot your password? link. A reset password will be sent to your account email address. |

FlybabyNot everyone received an email from BFG or got their password reset. But as a precaution I recommend changing your BFG password anyway. I deleted my CC info as well ... just in case.

ArmyMomOkcI agree it's a good idea. I had a problem last year where I had to reset my BF password a few times. I didn't get any emails from BF, but there was something going on. I had used the same password for years then suddenly it didn't work. I had to change it to something completely different from the format I usually use for passwords for it to finally stop. It was just weird :/
Thanks again for the heads up! |
