Early on it seemed I got only infected seeds.

Then I got infected fertilizer. Then I got the impression form some post here that I could choose to do the Sanctuary quests at times with I'd get fertilizer.. and it seemed to work.

Now I got infected seeds twice in a row. I hadnt gotten any seeds for a long time.

It seems Im missing something about this.. any thoughts?

the sanctuary, like every repeatable quest or hub of quests resets at midnight to some random sets of quests.
the sanctuary farmer4 can have any of these 4 quests and like all random, can have the same one several times in a row: rakes, hay, seeds, fertilizer

What Raymond said is correct. You may go several days without the fertilizer quest coming up, but then you may have a few days in a row where it does. It came up at least 2 or 3 times for me last week.

But keep in mind, if you have an unfinished quest from the day before that you are still working on, you may miss out on the newest repeatable daily quest (which may or may not be the fertilizer), and you would have no way of knowing.

So one thing you could do, is not accept any quests from the farmer if it's too late in the day (or at all), and just wait it out until the fertilizer comes up again. That is pretty much what I do, because I love my fertilizer. :-)

if i remember this particular quest in question is in the santcuary and from the guy/farmer from the field from north-west, when you complete a quest from him you get 10 fertiliser, and another quest he gives is to find infected seeds which you get to keep which could be energy or gold seeds, i hope this has helped out.

the fertilizer quest gives you the fertilizer of which i have fallen to having only 269

I haven't ever used the seeds either, but like getting the fertilizer. :)

Ditto. I don't use the seeds either, but the fertilizer is great to have in inventory.

ok... I thought the same quest gave either seeds or fertilizer. I am now trying to be more observant. I've "out grown" the seeds (didnt use the seed that were for gold much ever) but the fertilizer is good.

yup.. Ive got it.. And yup it looks like an infected sack of fertilizer.. not sure how I missed that.

Its funny.. I do a job that requires me to solve puzzles. Before I did that work in RL I needed to solve hard puzzles for recreation. Now, here in BW2, my idea of recreation is much more lazy. I find myself more interested in thoughtless repetitive actions and social game... I seem to have filled my need for hard puzzles at work.

So Im ever so grateful for all of you

Sometimes we tend to overlook what's right under our nose. Can't see the forest for the trees. Happens to the best of us. me included. tee-hee
