Just a wild guess, but check to see if you have strawberry tarts in your inventory. It could be that you have reached your maxed limit. I didn't get any either, but a friend on mine did. I happen to have 26 in my inventory, whereas my friend had only 1 prior to clicking on Linus. I have no idea why he showed up at this time, unless it's a left over reward from an event that some players didn't get. Edit: It seems it may have been from the Anniversary Event.
